Why does a re-class help Auburn?

Both AU and bama people have implied that reclassifying helps them so not sure it does either way. From the AU side I think the thought process is that our WR is booty which means a younger, less physically developed guy would have a better shot at getting on the field.

When he doesn’t sign in December the Bama fans are going to hard melt

Oh they’re not happy with the press conference today. He didn’t solidify anything. Then said signing in Feb and taking Official visits.

Definitely not good for those acting like there was zero chance of a flip. “He’s done nothing but reaffirm his commitment”

He can take official visits

If he didn’t reclass he would still take official visits, just not until the summer.

What really helps us is that because he’s taking official visits after the reclass, he’s not signing until February. That buys us time and gets him on campus again

and I would just expect it to be reclassifying

That is all I was expecting based on the info spreading around. I think this also allows him to take official visits.

I doubt he will make any flip, if there is one till signing day or a little before. Life will be hell if he does flip to AU. Bama fans are not used to being on the end of a troll job.

That melt would be epic to watch.

Not counting on it, because he seems pretty committed at the moment to Bama.

The weird part to me is that this was all known information. RW told reporters he’d do this exact thing that he’s doing if he ultimately reclassified.

I guess RW never told Bama reporters that plan

If he was so committed he’d sign in December.

More than likely he is just stalling de-recruitment by wanting the extra attention.

Has to be on pace to graduate to sign and he won’t be on pace to graduate in December. He will have to stack classes in the spring to be on pace to graduate.

Don’t think he can sign in December. Kid is about to get paid big time.

I keep seeing stuff about Blocton signing today.

My guess is he's just doing a signing ceremony but AU can't actually do anything with the paperwork until the 20th.

Here's the thing with Williams.... his dad is an Auburn guy who from all reports still loves Auburn, so I have a hard time believing that they would actively troll Auburn.

It wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened with a former Auburn player’s kid though.

Well he's been committed to bammer for over a year, if anyone is trolling it's our own fanbase.
Its not like he's flipping away from us 1 minute before the dead period begins.

Can we at least sign the class we have before shite talking Bama fans about it?

Newsflash: they’re very good at recruiting. I get we’re excited about this class but unless we have a strong close, they’ll still have a higher rated class.

He is already graduating early by doing it in June. Can't sign in December unless he is enrolling early and he's not.

Graduation status does not affect their ability to sign their NIL in the early period….he can’t be an EE but the early period is for all HS players with a scholarship offer.
You guys are confusing being an early enrollee and the early signing period. That was changed several years ago so any player could sign early not just the EEs.

quote:

Any high school senior with a written scholarship offer can sign in the early signing period, regardless of when he plans to enroll. Kentucky coaches said recently they had met with some confusion from high school coaches about if the early signing period was only for recruits planning to graduate early to enroll for the spring semester, but that is not the case. Even if a recruit does not plan to enroll until the summer or fall of 2018, he can sign in the early period.

Interesting, then you have his answer, he isn't signing early by choice.
