State can’t act like he was an interim because they gave him a multi year deal with a buyout….not a huge deal, but definitely not interim territory either.

Ryan Williams

A thing to remember about Williams is that if he reclassified to ‘24, he said he won’t sign until February. He’ll take officials in January

Gotta imagine that gives everyone plenty of time to get their deals in order for him.

That's very good on him! Karma hopefully rewarded his honorable gestures.

Jonesy regarding OL question please.

Carter verbal, it sounds very favorable for Favor Edwin.
The JC fella Seth Wilfred will have 4 years to play three and also sounds favorable.

Senda, he redshirts this year but JHead said he will have four years, did he get a mulligan with that mess at NWestern?

Boy Pink sure likes Coen Echols, I hope we can reel him in. Can play all positions on the line and would be this year's version of Connor Lew, thats some pretty lofty comments.

To your point earlier, we have many coming back and this class may not be as scant as was first thought.

Correct. I could see him going as far as telling Auburn they're the leader now, but doubt he's shutting anything down. If Auburn were to pull off another big flip from bama I could see them going all in on RW and giving him whatever he asked for.

He was a true freshman this year. Think of it that the NW stuff let him out of his NLI.

Reading between the lines, I think we are further down the road with an Echols flip than anyone is letting on to. We backed off of House, and Cole confidently stated that the Jimbo firing wasn't relevant. I interpreted that as "Auburn already has momentum" even though he wouldn't say that.

Jhead felt good about LJ McCray, and they all acted like info coming out over the last week had them expecting a top 8 finish. There are several top recruits that would be required to make that happen. So we are in for a wild ride.

I'd like to see a "best case scenario" class prediction. Based on the optimism the best case scenario must be viable.

Meaning the appeal to aTm wasn’t Jimbo. He is a aTm legacy player. Long way to go with him. At this point I would say he won’t be in AU’s class but let’s see if he shows of the Iron bowl and then we can talk possibilities

If we are discussing aTm why are we just discussing commits. Let’s snatch a couple DT’s that are sophomore or redshirt freshman in the portal, grab Weigman.

Little birdie said that Williams to Auburn is a done deal. Maybe on Cam Coleman and that Riley Leonard will be transferring in from Duke as our portal Qb.

I won't be mad if Leonard comes to compete, but man ehs been terrible the last few weeks and really not great all year.

Is Payton Thorne gonna be back next year since he is listed as a junior? Also FYI, he has rushed for more yards this year than all his years combined.

Career (2020-2023)
CAR YDS AVG TD LNG
25 47 1.9 1 38
82 181 2.2 4 32
60 42 0.7 1 21
93 425 4.6 3 61
260 695 2.7 9 61

Leonard has been playing hurt. He sat out a week (maybe 2) and then has just been toughing it out. We heard he was transferring in last year though, so I'm wait and see on that. Pratt from Tulane is rumored to be coming back for another year and transferring too.

We need depth and he fits the mold of a Freeze Qb. Also, he hasnt played the past few weeks due to a foot injury.

He played against Louisville and FSU and was awful. Hopefully he gets back to full speed and shows out. I'm all for anybody competing.

I think Thorne will be back, but I also expect us to do our due diligence to get another QB.

Get Weigman. Still has 2 years to play. If we can get him. Obviously we have back door ways to not “tamper”. Dude is a stud and thrive in a freeze offense
