Punts are vulnerable. Miracles happen but they dont have to happen with punts. Punt Bama Punt and so on. Why in the world would you just want to punt when you can just run the ball on 2nd and 2.

- the Chiefs game was a future HOF QB and a great offensive squad making some amazing plays in those 13 seconds, that is not even close,to the norm

Sure. but we are only talking 13 seconds here against a solid defense. Can you imagine not feeling secure with only 13 seconds on the clock? I cannot either. Edit: Just checked, that was the number two team defense in the NFL.

- the Miami coach even said afterwards it was a bad decision
I do not get why you are trying to defend this.

Yeah that was good on him. Can you imagine if you said to the media "frick them: It is my way or the highway!!"

Why do your arguments spill into every thread?

Probably because Ny Carr committed to Miami directly afterwards and the same incident was brought up by someone else.

Holy crap, weasel. Are you trying to be the recruiting thread vigilante again?

If people want to have a back and forth conversation then I am all for it. Stop pretending this hasn't been a back and forth conversation, or that I brought the conversation here.

This here is not me bringing up game management when others wanted to bring it up:

quote:

People were saying similar shite about Norvell after he looked like shite at FSU and then loses via a hailmary to Jacksonville State. People jawboned that Norvell should be fired on the tarmac. Twitter journalists were raising cows. Norvell openly questioned if he would get fired. How is Norvell doing now? People questioned Sarkisian at Texas as well.

quote:

That's true too. But the theme here is Ny Carr- recruiting, 35-13 at Oregon, and teams dont lose by not kneeling very often Only here I can I hear a supporter of 7-5 coach say the coach that can recruit better and go 35-13 is horrible

It took three different posts by others before I even started talking about the game management.

JLee says Auburn and 3* TE Martavious Collins have officially broken up. Collins is expected to announce it sometime soon

Same kid. I mentioned last week that JLee expected it to happen soon. Looks like it’s finally happening now

In this new era every spot will be very important, no more "he might provide depth".

With the expanded playoff system, the SEC championship, and the number of SEC teams you will have to play to get there, frick, you are gonna need a strong bench to run that gauntlet. Just look at what happened once our DB got dinged up in the dawg game.

I think the number of games is absurd, but then so is the money so we know what wins out. Players will get paid, course they may have the body of a 30 year old before they ever reach the league.

Our DBs are a great example. Very good starting lineup and 1-2 guys that can come in, but huge dropoff after that.

Solomon just backed off his commit. What gives?

The processing begins imo. Not saying he's bad or anything, but he's listed as an athlete and when it comes to this DB class he's probably at the bottom of the guys we have already and no way he would be ahead of any of the WRs.

I'm thinking he's more interested in South Carolina

Good with Collins decommitting. Soloman was the other rumored to decommit but didn’t seem imminent. I thought it’d happen on ESD if it did

Pink said a few weeks ago that Auburn expects to flip a handful also lose some. Auburn isn’t alone here. We’ve seen guys decommit and flip from a lot of top classes. With very few uncommitted guys left and coaches being paid mega millions to still be recruiting extremely hard, it’s gonna be a wild ride through signing day

I think the NCAA approving the new roster rules and allowing schools to sign as any as they want as long as it doesn't go over 85 is the reason a few will get cut loose. If they are on the fringes of this class then their spot might just get replaced by a transfer.

That ruling was expected, though. Not sure how much it’s contributing acutely to these decommits
