Echols could also play Dline pretty well too though, and we aren’t hitting on any.
Thats William Echoles. He's still uncommitted. Coen Echols is the OL who committed to TAM, just so there's no confusion.

He was rumored to be considering it at one point but don’t believe he ever actually entered or talked about it

Most of Harsin guys are gone by this point so it wouldn’t surprise me Butt I hope he stays. He seems like a popular guy. I think he helped us recruit Freeze’s first class, including Darron Reed

Correct. A little confusion with the names and positions

Quite a few good ones we are definitely in it for. Heck this kid from Hawaii, I thought that was a long shot. I didnt realize Aigamaua our tight ends coach is recruiting the kid. Aigamaua is Samoan, and the kid's dad is Samoan and played football in Samoa the same as Aigamaua, so definitely some bonding there.

I’m Polynesian and I’ve probably talked about this too much now but this matters.

And we know it matters because we had a coach here recently that was from the mountain west and was unwilling to change. Folks gave Brian Kelly hell for his fake southern accent but that motherfricker gets it… and it’s paying off. Gotta buy in

Bringing it back to Aigamaua, OL Taumua, and Pacific Islanders, Freeze gets it. One connection there is enough. There aren’t that many P5 programs with a Pacific Islander influence. Most are on the pacific coast. If you want your kid playing the best guys then it’s helpful to have those connections

Thanks for the thoughts Jonesy, very interesting. Certainly would be nice for us to set up a pipeline of Pacific Islander OL/DL from the west coast.

Starting to wonder about that guy. I looked last week and he hasn’t posted since 1/1

Oh dang, I didn’t realize he’s been gone that long. I was a little concerned we had all this Pacific Islander talk and he was MIA.

Coaches seem to like the OT Reese Baker out of Madison, probably not a take at this point. Really can move and make second tier blocks, but surely needs to put on weight.

Your thoughts Corch?

I like Baker as well. He seems to be pretty athletic guy. He definitely needs to work on both upper body and lower body strength. But he has traits to be a solid OT. Then develop more over the next 2-3 years.

Realistically a kid that comes into the program in the fall of '24 as a true freshman OL you wouldn't expect them to start until at the earliest the '26 season. So 3 years to develop.

Well JLee just changed his prediction of OL Kahlil House from Auburn to Standford. If that happens its a straight up miss for us. This was a guy we thought was basically locked up. Big miss because he's one of the only OL we are recruiting at tackle.

I wish I could read the thread on ON3 right now lol. I know they are going hard. We made a big deal on social about House basically being a silent commit and then if we turn around and lose him... ooof lol.

He is/was a silent. Only way we’d lose him is if Stanford offered him a ton of money.

Basically said his visit went really well at Stanford

His prediction is now 80% House will choose Stanford Friday.

Overall On3 prediction is now 76% for Stanford.

I read this as 8%.

On the serious side, why Stanford? The culture there is a dumpster fire

I know not everybody is there to play school, but it’s an elite university. I don’t know anything about the kid, but maybe he wants a degree from there.

One thing we know for sure, Aubie is not to blame. A tree for a mascot? Come on!
