I think we need a new category for this new version of you bro. We had Old Jang, then New Jang came around a few years back. Everybody loved new Jang.

Now we have this new version that has shown its head.

I think we need a new name.

Faulk will end up on the strongside, heck the rate he is still growing he may be a DT by the time this class gets on campus.

I think the latest roster update had him at 288 lbs.

The season has to show things that our recruits wanna see. Don’t even think that’s wins but those wouldn’t hurt either

This, as much as we are pleased with the recruiting, Im even more optimistic about the product we put on the field. Maybe not wins but just some exciting schemes. Like the days of Bobby Bowden, dadgumit. Might lose but the kids sure had some fun tonight didnt they. And recruits saying "yeah this looks fun I can see myself here.

And hopefully one of them is Ryan Willams saying yeah Coleman needs a sidekick....or Coleman, Thompson, Williams I like the sound of that. One can hope...

More than X’s and O’s, I think recruits need to see the team pulling together in one direction. Leadership from the top that guys are buying into. Those sort of things. The football is very important and that’s going to be at the forefront more for some than others. I think after the last 5 years, kids want to see stability

If thats the case, we should have stuck with Caddy.

Face it and everyone just needs to say it and be truthful. It is about wins. It always has been and it always will be

Just win baby.

Absolutely wins matter and nobody debates that we’ve gotta win (eventually). But in year one, kids are looking for other things too.

The rowing together, rah rah stuff only buys you so much time

On Riddick…

I’m sure they know the odds. They also know there’s another 9th grader coming up in Chilton Co. DT I think? He’s getting some attention but I can’t recall (or spell) his name at the moment

This right here. But it is not just winning right? Our trajectory is headed up and we haven't played the first game. We aren't expecting fireworks this year, but we are expecting the team to consistently improve each year. That's the schedule, and the schedule that will keep Freeze employed.

I imagine the first year will be treated lot different than Harsin's. The PTB isn't having to make sure Freeze did his homework before bed. The PTB got their guy and Cole Cubelic says he has never seen the Auburn PTB more aligned.

You can win and have a lot of fun doing it as well, Bowden won a boatload of games and it was just a wee bit more exciting than North Carolina's 4 corner offense in basketball.

I was at Auburn when Dye took over and you felt the Karma and everything started to move in one direction, recruiting, donations to the school, and yes performance on the field.

Right now Id just settle for some "spilled beer moments". Like coming back from a TV timeout and rather than run it up the middle we throw for a first down, as I jump up and yell what the hell just happened...spilling the beer. I expect a few of those

We gotta start somewhere. If that means spilling beers I'm all for it.

Personally I think the USCe coach put on a clinic of doing just enough to keep hope up and boo birds down within a SEC schedule. He mastered the art of not shooting himself in the foot in other words. Year two comes around and he had some inexplicable losses but also convincing wins against Tennessee and Clemson and now hope survives triumphantly as it hopes to be bigger and badder in year three. If he does well this year then I say we hire him before someone else does and we can forget about the whole Freeze experiment.

Not just the PTB. You think I was going to waste my $34 a month on Haskins’ non recruiting potato butt?

jville... It's time for all to get behind the NIL.

I don't agree with the NIL, I don't agree with paying players in college at all. But if you are going to play the game you have to play the game.

Freeze and Bruce have both asked the fanbase to step up essentially. Bruce even put off much needed practice facility to get NIL going first.

I’m perfectly fine with NIL. I just wasn’t going to waste my time with someone who wasn’t interested in recruiting. And you’re right. If the Auburn fanbase wants to compete for championships, it’s what you have to do. Freeze, Bruce, and Butch recruit their asses off. I think what amounts to one trip to the fast food joints isn’t asking for much.

Auburn's collective is elite and has very deep coffers.

Auburn will be competing for Championships in the very near future that's for sure.

Pink put out updates on some of our recruiting targets:

— it's 50/50 on Perry Thompson and his OV could be what puts AU on top, but doesn't believe a decision will be made until signing day.

— Auburn knocked it out of the park for LJ McCray on his OV and is in it more than people think. He believes UGA will become a major player as he OVs there this weekend, Miami is also in the mix. Unsure where he's leaning currently cause he's hard to read.

— GT is Auburn's biggest competition for Jameson Riggs not Clemson, Riggs dad went to GT and loves the idea of his son there and GT knocked their OV out of the park. Pink gives Auburn a slight edge currently.

— we're the possible leader for St John Bosco LB Khmori House who UOVed recently and just finished an OV to Texas. We worry Texas more than Washington and our pitch for him to play nickel instead of backer is a selling point. He's a Roberts recruit.

Agreed. Any Auburn fans that thinks NIL wasn’t good for the long term outlook for college football is going to be pleasantly surprised because it puts us on equal footing with Georgia and Alabama. We might not be able to match what USC and Miami can pay but we can match or offer more than most other teams.

Pink put in a prediction for 3* LB Wyatt Simmons to AU

Has a legit offer list, including Texas, Clemson, Oklahoma, FSU, Miami, and others
