I bet in the SEC the initial call would have been that he was out of bounds and then replay would not have overturned because they would have said they did not have indisputable evidence.

They overturned Cams catch against Vandy.

Well, that leads to the other argument against the officiating that others have been talking about. I hope the evidence was indisputable

Think about this. Think back to 2013. Going in to the Iron Bowl, what if we had had 2 or 3 SEC losses and would not have gone to SECCG or BCS if we won. Would the game have been called differently? Would there have been some kind of phantom flag on the Kick Six? Did both teams being in a position for post-season keep the officiating neutral? Who knows?

The fix was in when they added one second. Would Auburn have gotten the review had we been on offense? Boy, did that backfire for them.

Trying to buy Saban a field goal.

They couldn’t claim OOB when he made the cut during the return……the fat stripes were nowhere to be found.

That’s why Saban claims Jordan Hare is haunted…..

Inman was shooting off his mouth about the coach search…..told my neighbor….Inman still hasn’t recovered the fumble that gave Cam the Heisman…..STFU

Consider this.

The Referee, terminated due to the Georgia/Auburn deceit….had informed the SEC that he was retiring at the end of this season. He was used as a scapegoat to cover for the errors of back to back games where the refs impacted the score by their mistakes.

There was no penalty for either White Hat……just a publicity stunt.

I maintain….Birmingham is the problem!

Consider this... (for arguments sake)... mere hypothetical scenario.

Without those two losses would Hugh have lost his job?*

So why doesn't he file suit for damages. He's likely to never get another chance at this level, so in essence his career is cut short or greatly diminished, and the SEC has given him a likely avenue by their acknowledgement of rampant ineptitude.

Both the referee's and SEC cost him untold millions and irrevocably damaged his reputation. Would we have terminated his contract (this year, mid season, or ever) with a winning record? No one knows for sure; however it was noted that Oklahoma's staff informed these officials of the their deception plan and then they played ostrich instead of doing their job. It was a travesty of their own making through neglect, ineptitude, and failure to perform in an equal and above board manner.

And ironically they compounded their short comings again last week... so even a pattern of damaging the University could likely be established. No I'm not an attorney just thinking out loud that it might be time to lawyer up. It worked for poor players so maybe it might work for a pushed out of his job coach. And what does Hugh have to lose except a couple days of golf.

Auburn would have lost. Consider the coach. However….

Oklahoma was a question concerning the hidden receiver question. In which all teams, coaches and Referees had been informed that the play was illegal.

In the pregame, Oklahoma claimed White Hat and Umpire approved the play. Neither Ref was admonished for the error. That should have been a fired Ref if, Oklahoma was being truthful.

But the SEC found a ready for prime time scapegoat in the Georgia game. A White Hat that had notified them of his intended retirement before the start of the season.

Both were serious mistakes by the White Hat, yet only one is dismissed publically. How much do you want to bet….the dismissed Ref has been working out of site for SEC in some other capacity.

Get the Headquarters out of Birmingham.

One of the OU fans had a solid idea on the Rant that is now buried - we need a dedicated Ref Board, where we can track bad/no calls and which crews make them. Keep some stats, just like everyone does for the teams themselves. Ironic that this idea came from an OU fan.....but still a good one.

This is a really good idea imo.

Vandy had 3 penalties last night and hardly was called for holding on offense when they should've been several times.

The Vandy offense was allowed to do take-downs and tackle defenders!

Maybe I could get a Maintenance position in the office since I live close. Maybe I could go in as a spy and reporting to a University Lawyer
