I truly don't think Evans knew where he was going until he pulled the hat out. You could tell he had to dig through the bag for a hat.
That's how I feel. I think he was leaning Bama all week but hadn't really decided what he wanted to do until he made the decision. I think even if he had another week he would still pick the tide. The Jack vs Star battle beat us. I think having Therezie there this year didn't help. You can probably make better arguments and show better examples of his role if Garrett plays.

Seriously? You think he started his commitment on national television without knowing where he was going?
Rephrase. I don't think he was 100% certain until he pulled the hat out. I just don't believe he was all Bama for a long time.
Not saying he was Auburn but I think the ceremony made the feeling real as opposed to something super fluid earlier
I have nothing to back that up.

Considering there is a @HueyLandon I assume he didn't make that and he just took it from someone else

He was all AU till @HueyLandon sent him that pic. He thought it was so clutch he changed his mind right then.

Well he's gone, so who is our top STAR targets for next year?

REs actions started to say Bama about a week ago. I can't. Believe they used Foster as a recruiting tool. I would think Auburn could say "Don't go to Bama and sit look at what happened to Foster".

I think Roquan Smith was but last weekend I think he said they started recruiting him as a LB now

I think before his UA OV that he was leaning AU. I just feel like what killed us is having UCLA in the running. UCLA has a respected coaching staff with NFL experience so when you get both UCLA + Bama pitching Will LB spot then negatively recruiting the Star, kills it. That join pitch and negativity sold his dad and him
Just don't see how we win the SEC, win our rivalry and they get stomped by OU in their bowl game yet they pull an AU fan hometown kid

I have a test at 1:00 so I won't be able to update OP for the Williams announcement for a while.

Well that was disappointing, but nothing to get angry over. I wish him the best. Auburn is still going to be Auburn with or without RE.
Agree with everything you said but I will not wish him the best. As of 2-5-14 he's just another gump.

Unless he goes the Corey Grant route, I hope he sits for four years. In his personal life though, don't care as long as he does feel the stinging regret of not going to AU

People can TIFWIW but reality as I understand it was the OV to Bama was huge. Saban and Smart sold Alan on the Rush OLB and he was hooked. Alan worked on Rashaan rest of the way. They did play the AU staff though the way they handled it. Rashaan told Roberts and Mitchell to come because he was picking AU. He also told the staff he was in. He may not been 100% even as he was going to the table but he was a Bama lean for about 2 weeks.
