Per PM:

Doesn't expect Stephen Roberts or Markel Boston to get huge minutes. They're still coming along. Nick Ruffin likely to be back up Safety right now. He's bulked up to 200lbs.

PM lists Raashed Kennion, Braden Smith, Davaroe Lawrence, Jeremiah Dinson, Ryan Davis as some break out candidates.

Kevin Phillips likely to win punting job.

Prince Tega will redshirt

Justin Thorton still needs to develop physically

Andrew Williams hasn't been great thus far, but he's finally accepted the fact that he's a DT not a DE

2 really good players that could redshirt due to depth chart. Darrell Williams and Mike Horton

On the young Olinemen Carr, Harrell, Sharp, Kim, Horton...JB says they have a chance to be special

Kozan and Danzey battle at LG is 50/50 right now with Kozan rising

Jeremiah Denson may be the best of the freshmen cbs

Pettway starts at Hback

Jalen Harris at TE

Roc and Barber will split carries Jovon will get whats left. (that could change in 2 weeks)

Frost and Mckinzey will start. Coaches trying t find a way to get Garrett on the field.

Expect Kerryon to have a significant role this year

Javierre Mitcell locked in at starting SAM per Lance Thompson

Jason Smith will have a significant role on the offense starting game 1

JB really likes Robert Leff. He's locked in as 2nd left tackle

Expect JJ to spread the ball around more. Nick Marshall was very dependent on Coates / Duke. JJ's mentality is to drop back and make reads

Braden Smith is as talented as an Olinemen can be. Jordan Diamond is his backup

Unlike someone else reported PM said Cowart will not beat out Lambert as starter

I'm surprised we aren't hearing much from Tre Williams

Got to give Jay Tate and his over dramatic writing some credit, he was talking about Dinson being underrated and likely to come in and get minutes around NSD

Don't let that fool you. He's going to play a TON. We basically will have 4 starters at the ILB spots in Tre, Frost, Cass and Garrett.

Been waiting for this guy to get his chance. He lays the wood on special teams, and I watched him in high school. He's a head hunter. He won't shy away from contact like our LBs we've had in recent years.

Outside of Cowart, Kerryon is the guy I'm most excited about from this last class. Dude can ball.

There is so much depth on this team. I can't remember Auburn having a team with this much depth.

Actually, no I don't. Tate gets less right than Booger on SECN.

2004 and 2006 come to mind as there was high quality depth 3 and 4 deep at many positions but you're right this team has quality players everywhere

I was thinking the same thing. It's a good thing since everybody will be heading to the NFL after this season.

totally agree...he's a special special talent at RB. I seriously think he'll have a Reggie Bush looking stat sheet when he becomes the feature back.

“You need players, but the biggest thing is that togetherness, everybody being on the same page,” Fountain said. “That’s what I think Coach Malzahn does so well. He’s going to hold the players and coaches accountable. He’s going to make sure they do their jobs and do what they are supposed to do.”

The 2013 team, Fountain says, developed the characteristics of a champion. Last season’s did not. But he sees encouraging signs in the Tigers of 2015.

“In 2013, we had that,” Fountain said. “We kind of gelled more and more as the year went along. Last year I think we lost a little of that. This year, I see it in camp. That’s kind of got me excited.”

Don't get too excited about our depth. The staff can't find a 3rd safety. They would like for Nick Ruffin to take the job but for whatever reason he's leaving the door open. I've read between the lines PM wrote yesterday and I wouldn't be surprised if Tre Mathews' injury is more serious than the staff wants us to know. Finding that 3rd safety is a huge concern for the staff right now. Ruffin, Boston, Roberts, Irvin, Holsey all in the mix

A hamstring injury isn't serious other than they are aware it hampered him previously at uga. The talent exists from those names we need someone to step up.

That is a nagging injury that could affect him all season long. That is the scary part of it.

well, they have guys that could be safety and do really well, but unfortunately 1 will be playing corner and the other will be at nickel (holsey and countess).

If need be, they'll put a frosh at corner and one of those guys will play safety, IMO.
