Cole Cubelic was asked two hours ago whether his opinion changed on Kelly.
He said no. If he gets a pay raise, he stays

I'd rather get the right DC than rush that hire for a few extra days of recruiting.

Exactly... making a rush decision because of a few days of recruiting is beyond stupid.
This hire is critical to Gus and AUs future... Rushing bc of the dead period makes no sense.

Why would he tell a recruit we will have a dc by his visit this Sunday? Guess Gus better reschedule.

For all we know Gus has his guy and it hasn't been announced until it's finalized. Some of y'all act like you have better incite into what's going on than the coaches do.

Anyone know what PM's morning update says? All I can see is that he is stating he's confirmed Kelly has not turned down the AU offer nor has he accepted it yet.

That initially Keely was not interested, but then Keely contacted Auburn expressing STRONG interest. Made folks involved believe he would take the job. (My Guess: his agent said you need to cash in, get a big raise)
That rightly or wrongly this will be embarrassing to Auburn and Gus if Keely does turn down 7 figures and 3 years guaranteed.
Important to have someone in place before the dead period. LT and Shoop are potential replacements
