We hire a new DC just for Gus to get canned next year and potentially lose the entire staff. frick it, where's Van Gorder?

That is what I am afraid of. Who is going to come here for maybe 1 year. Malzahn could continue to tank and be fired after next year. Who is going to leave a stable situation to take a chance like that?

This is the greatest problem for Malzahn to overcome when selling the position. We're going to have to throw a similar contract out like we gave Muschamp with no buyout, etc.

I think we will have to sell out to get Kelly, but that is probably the best we can do. The reality is we will probably end up with Lolley cause he evidently has pictures of JJ and Tim Jackson blowing each other.

I think there's a chance we hire a scrub to be here just a year. If the instability in our AD is true, no big name DC is going to want to be employed here...definitely not Pruitt or Kelly.

I'd put my money on a promotion from within just because the Defense was making strides.
I'd prefer hiring an up and Comer that will be here a few years (minus Gus getting canned). This swapping every year is getting old and I don't see any big names being around after a decent year.
Gus made a decent pick last time so I'm hoping he does this time.
