True, but their offense doesn't require a lot of pulling. Just eat the man in front of you.

They have proven they are good at eating.

This will be one of, if not the, best OLs we'll see all year... what they lack in athleticism they'll more than make up for in physicalness.

We will go heavy across the DL, and rotate a ton of guys... maybe more so than most games bc if their running game and the heat.

We have still got to develop a good pass rusher from the DE position.

Owens is gonna be doing the honors this year.

This is a primer for LSU and USCe, both of whom are higher quality DL both in athleticism and skill

With our dline and Cass Frost Garrett at LB we should not give up the 250 rushing or whatever we did last year.

Prepare thyself. I think we will give up big years on the ground in the first game.

I just don't think arky will be able to stop us most of the game or throw on us very well

Auburn Defense going big up front

quote:

Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson indicated 306-pound sophomore defensive tackle Montravius Adams is expected to spend much of the first week of game prep working on the outside at defensive end.

quote:

Although Auburn’s first official depth chart won’t be released until Tuesday, Johnson all but confirmed the Tigers will stroll out a defensive front four that averages roughly 306 pounds apiece, including expected senior starting tackles Angelo Blackson (6-4, 306) and Jeffrey Whitaker (6-4, 322). That would indicate Wright, who is one of the team’s senior leaders and represented Auburn at SEC Media Days, would start at the other end position opposite Adams.

I think they have these mixed up. I sure hope Whitaker isn't playing at 322.

Monty may very well start and would make a lot of since when playing the piggies but Coach Johnson did not give any indication whether Monty would start or not. That reporter is reading something that was not in Coach Johnson's words.

Yeah, AU will definitely be big across the DL for this one. I'm just hoping EJ mans up and attacks the LOS. There's little chance Arky will burn us through the air.
