This was back in February. His contract was up.

Burns' compensation under the new deal includes $250,000 in annual salary, paid out monthly over the course of the contract, as well as $87,500 each in endorsement rights and personal appearance payments.

The last part is interesting. Is that typical for assistant coaches?

Regardless of what we think of the staff you have to pay the people you hire. I'm sure everyone on here is tops in their field in every way and deserves more money every year. Plus paying Kodi or complaining about paying Kodi when regardless of what happens it all falls to Gus. The issue is and was the 7 year deal. So kinda of like I've been saying I think everyone is safe this year and next year. If no sec championship game appearance by then I'm pretty sure everyone will go.

I'm not sure why every detail is searched and inspected of every little thing about it at this point. There would have to be scandal or corruption or a breach of morals to get Gus out right now. I don't know why that's so hard to understand.

I mean he'd probably still be the lowest paid assistant at Alabama even after that raise

Considering he is a great recruiter, hard to see what the issue with him is. Not his fault Gus can't put together a coherent passing attack after 10 years

Seth Williams is one the best WR AU has ever had

Not sure why Kodi is being blamed for Gus' failures here

Physically This is absolutely true.

When he matures further, the sky is the limit.
He certainly committed to reshaping his body. He looks faster.

Young men mature emotionally even into their 30s. I think Seth will have a long NFL career.
Kodi is not responsible for the overall program results. I’m sure he is earning that money.

Kodi does not coach QB. Or offensive line.

Kodi does not call for a two point conversion up 9 in first quarter of a conference road game.

Kodi does not wear a sweater vest and have only three comments: 1. “No doubt“ 2. “One of the best in college football” 3.”get our edge back and play fast and physical”.

Kodi is not making 7million a year.

Receivers have been a pretty good spot. I think all have improved this year and even the freshman have looked pretty good in what action they have seen.
