I understand no Tiger Walk, but no eagle flight is ridiculous.

Are eagles some kind of super COVID spreaders or something?

They just want the least number of people on the field as possible. Its as simple as that.

Simple Jack more like it. The players arent even on the field when the eagle flies. Let the eagle fly, then take it back to is pen.

Its as simple as that

This is the SEC’s doing not Auburn’s. Can’t have live animal mascots on the field this year.

An eagle flight in a giant open-air outdoor stadium with hardly any people in it is apparently a covid threat.

People in charge truly have lost their fricking minds in this country.

In a year littered with utter stupidity this is the most pointless decision of them all.

I can see that from an UGA/Bully/Reveille standpoint where the animal and its handlers stay on the sideline (and the fact that cheerleaders will be in the stands and not on the sideline).

But the eagles are flown to the center of the field and then removed. At the point in pregame that they fly, there would hardly be anyone on the field this season. No cheerleaders, few photographers, no sideline pass guests, etc.

Then what is the point of even flying the eagle if no one is around to see it?

One of the best pre game traditions gone because a few extra people would be on an empty field.

It’s THE best pre game tradition in sports.

And the trainer is social distanced 50 fricking yards away from anyone while he’s standing in the middle of the field.

Wow stalker. Cool your jet.

I was born in 1983. So I've seen Auburn screwed out of 3 national titles in my lifetime.
