I wouldn't fight it. I have been wanting someone to step up and own it. I also don't have proof, but the WR seem to play marginally better. Gotta work on catching. They put Nix in a bind a few times. OL/QB played well then WR would drop a pass.

He has experience and enough talent to turn the heat up on Nix. He’s a quality backup. Maybe there is an SEC team with a better backup but I can’t care less if I’m wrong there

From ESPN.

Next up is Georgia, and given his history, Nix will either pull off a miracle or accidentally set the locker room on fire while trying to make a panini.

Pretty much but last night Bo fought like hell.

Wanna point out something I just noticed watching highlights.

That third down conversion he had in the 1st quarter where he pulled the ol’ Nick Marshall and acted like he was going to run then tossed it over the DB to Fromm - he made that pass with his left hand!! I missed that in the moment. Unreal.

Nix kills me though. He looked AWFUL in the first quarter. Pretty much worse than he’s ever played

Did you watch the same game that I did? He was pretty good throwing and passing. His completion percentage was up there and he was moving the chains by land or air.

Did you watch the Florida game in 2019? That was easily the worst that he has ever played. Last night in the first he didn’t even come close to that level.

Spotlight on one of our linemen making a heads up play to get back near LOS.

Nix won that game in spite of our O line I feel. The O line played a little better maybe but between them and our WRs we have a lot more work to do. I give all the credit to nix and the coaches for this win. We finally got some redemption in Death Valley and that’s one thing the whole team should be proud as hell for.

Now if nix can just stay consistent he’ll do great things. It’s going to be hard if the o line and WRs don’t start giving him more help. We’re going to need the whole team to step up to even stay in the game Saturday against that UGa defense.

It seems the threat of losing the starting job ignited a spark. He was playing possessed.

I really think he won the chance to start this week of practice because somehow he did put more concentration into correcting his weaknesses that tended to show up during the GA ST game.

THAT is what Harsin wanted to see from him during practice.

One other note, I kind of remembered being a parent of a son who played sports when you could see when the cameras showed Patrick Nix, his dad in the EZ and he looked like he was emotional looking and almost crying, and then his wife hugged him and you could tell she was saying something important to him in his ear. I am sure father/son had a trying week not knowing if Bo was going to get to start and all the fan reactions that were going on too.

It was nice to see that.

Or they started him because he was head and shoulders the better QB and offered the best chance of us winning.

Im not paying PFF for stats but from my understanding. Without drops Bo would have completed 65%ish of his passes. It increases to almost 73% if you subtract the clear throw aways. So it’s time to to drop the Bo ain’t accurate bullshite. Bo is a good QB that needs help from other players just like any other QB
