The details of the extension being reported publicly and the board meeting happening now to vote on it is a clear indication Mario has agreed in principle to stay at Oregon. They wouldn't be this far in the process if that wasn't the case.
Could he not sign and come to Auburn? Possible I suppose, but it would basically be leaving Oregon at the altar at this point. 95% chance MC is no longer an option for us IMHO.

The amount we would owe IU if he left for another job

I don't think he's worth the contract Oregon is paying him. I know Auburn would overpay.

He seems to be a solid guy, but not worth shelling out ~$18 large just for the privilege of hiring him. Pass.

Yeah, I have also been a shittier employee this week. I need this thing wrapped up by Sunday.
I feel like Napier has a lot of support here, that probably means that he has no shot with our decision makers. Lol.
I'd love to have him. He isn't the most accomplished guy available, but I really believe that he is the "right" guy for the job.

Agree. With that buyout he definitely isn’t worth it. Napier would be a hell of a lot better option.

Same here
My girlfriend is a little tired of it too.
I need to take a break until it's announced. All these rumors are just running in circles. I think it happens this weekend.

Can he hire Chief away from that middle school to run our defense?

We really need to look at Hugh Nall.

Ensminger will be brought in by Steele along with Mazzone and Bobo.

Has Jeff Grimes been mentioned?
Maybe Steele brings him in as “coach in waiting.”

Are you trying to depress everyone on a Thursday afternoon?

This will be the most watched event for an Oregon sports team in years.

Ensminger had the greatest offense in college football history last year. It’s time to bring him home. Caddy will vouch. Those first 2 games of 2003 were magical.
