We’ve never made a decision as bad as hiring Steele.
But not only that, it doesn’t line up with what we’ve heard about Steele. It’s always been said he doesn’t want to be HC. Just wants to do defense. So what changed his mind?
My theory is you tell everyone it’s Steele until you actually get your guy. Keeps recruiting together the most until that day.

They should certainly talk to him. They should also look at a few NFL guys as well as any of the hot names right now. Im saying, there really is not reason to rush right now. Auburn is the best job available, the recruiting class is not going to improve. Its dead.
Take your time, make the 20million dollars you spent worth it. Make a good decision after you have viewed your options.
If they hire Steele. Especially now. It just proves its a Auburn thing and nothing has changed at the top

I don’t think you can criticize Mario unless you have a list of candidates you would rather have.
