Chiming it to say if we did hire Steele as HC you guys might need to nominate some new board admins because if Auburn doesn’t care about winning then I’m not sure how much I plan on caring about watching

Everything he said about Cam ultimately came true.

Lane is trolling Twitter in reference to the Auburn job.

Lane needs to worry more about his alcohol intake and less about trolling on twitter.

Lane should be concerned that he lost to Malzahn

Lane just has fun trolling, why can't people be good with that?

Meaning Oregon will now play Friday night for the PAC12 championship instead of Saturday against Colorado.

Could seemingly move the timeframe of a hire up, no?

Does he get a bonus for making the championship game?

Maybe all the Kevin Steele fiddle faddle is just being used as a psychological insurance policy for when Cristobal or whoever is announced. To curb any widespread negative sentiment amongst the natives.

So we're going up against Nike money to steal Cristobal?? Or is all this just a ploy to get him a raise and stay in Eugene?

Cristobal playing for the Pac12 championship on Friday at 3-2... Washington had to bail out due to Covid.

So does that mean he needed to wait. Back to Back PAC 12 Champions.

Complete speculation here - but if Cristobal really was the guy, and that an agreement had been reached in principle, then Gouge announcing a 'nationwide search' would buy some time and give Cristobal cover for playing in the Pac12 CG before making it official.

Of course I realize that this sort of logical approach would be completely unprecedented in the history of AU athletics.

Correct.

The more likely choice is that they have Steele tabbed already and the committee is nothing but a show

So Mario gets put in the championship game for Pac12 and his odds go up for us?
