Can we all be glad we hired someone with a winning record at least?

I mean Neal Brown was rumored at one point

Based on what?

I don’t mind Steele staying as long as those rumors are bullshite

I wouldn’t think Harsin would keep him though

AU control freaks are going to allow this outsider to fire Steele and staff? No way.

I know it’s only just now reported that Harsin is hired but where are the people on the board that they have a keen football mind? They should’ve already reviewed tape and reported what kind of offense he runs. Slants? West Cosst? TEs? Also; is defense optional?

Gus was never a recruiter. He hired recruiters.
Gus hired recruiters, but he was also a good recruiter too. Any time he got involved recruits all talked about how much they like him.

Question is, who can/will Harsin hire to knows how to recruit the south, because its an entirely different animal than what he's used to at Boise St. And if he does keep any of the staff, does that mean he will have the same issues Gus had, as far as being micromanaged? We will find out soon I guess..

Also looks like Harsin's offense is very balanced. 35 or so passes per game and 35ish runs per game over the course of a season.

I was hoping for a 10/10 bob stoops hire... didn’t get it.

I was worried about a 3/10 bill Clark/Kevin Steele... didn’t get it

Got a 7.5/10 hire in Harsin.

I’ll live with it and pull for him hard now.

Absolutely. How does this affect the bowl game? Wonder if he’ll coach or if Steele will.

Just glad it's over.

I have no problem with this hire. I have always enjoyed watching Boise State. I don't think he will have any problems recruiting to his O.

I mean a possibility sure.

But I don’t think Harsin is the type of hire you want if you’re wanting control

What does the passing game look like? More complex than Gus I hope.

I don’t get some of y’all’s infatuation with freeze. He is a terrible person. Like legit if there is a hell hugh freeze will be there.
We just fired a coach who was a great person and ran a clean program. I'm worried about wins. I couldn't care less what Huge Freeze is like as a person.. The man can recruit NFL talent and wins a whole lot of football games and has done it in the SEC, as opposed to whatever conference Boise St is in.

He's from the Petersen tree his offense will be similar. Leverage based offense.

edit - Meaning numbers game. Much like Bama's offense. You go where the numbers tell you to run or throw.

Tank, Had Goodwin until shite hit the fan, If he's here we should have a decent shot at Henderson next year (assuming we win games)
