Don’t worry, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Considering your #1 choice that you've been spamming the board with took his name out of the running and decided not to interview, it's best if you just run along woodrow.

Edit: GEE ONE DOWNVOTE, I WONDER WHO THAT COULD BE FROM????

Billy would be a great hire. He turned down both USCe and MSU. has been successful. Can recruit. If this is the guy, everyone should support this.

Sark wanted too much Money, Elliot refused an interview (no head coaching experience). I would have been OK with venables, but prefer Billy.

Interviews have been conducted by three of those committee members - athletics director Allen Greene, university COO Gen. Ron Burgess and trustee Quentin Riggins, a former All-SEC Auburn linebacker. The roles of the other five members are uncertain.

So Gogue put this committee together and isn't even sitting in on the interviews?

I'm honestly asking. Is that SOP for a hire of a university employee that will be making the money that the head coach is gonna make?

I don't see anything wrong with that....

Pick the guys you think are going to do the job well and get out of the way.

Typically once the search committee makes a selection, the AD then presents it to the president for discussion and final approval. No real reason for the president to be on the committee

Yep and burgess is basically Gogue's guy on the committee who he trusts to make things happen.

I think I'm good with Napier. Not without risk, but he's a guy who turned down two other SEC jobs (allegedly) and was likely to get looks at Big 6 schools (UT, LSU).

It's not like we're trying to pull a complete diamond from the rough

Napier seems to be the best choice for Auburn to make.

Not sure if that is connected to Auburn, the plane is owned by Boone Newspapers Inc and they own a bunch of small newspapers across the state

Dennis Dodd is saying Steele is no longer an option.

If true, I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that a national reporter broke it before 247 could finish sucking him off.
