Gus stays but gets Khalil Tate as a grad transfer. Arrives over Christmas.

Or fire Gus and get new coach keeping current personnel.

Which would you prefer?

Gus fired. One player doesn't change that.

New coach, new system. Tate is just, once again, a one year band-aid.

The Sunday after the Iron Bowl I would have said new coach, but now that it is dragging out I am of the opinion it will be better to stay the course with Gus one more year.

Next season like any season won't be easy, we lose a ton. However, it isn't all doom and gloom. The OL improved and a running QB would make their job 60% easier immediately. Boobee, Shivers and the young WR's all showed good.

The D...TT, Miller, TD and Cat have flared potential keeping Coe and Marlon would be huge. Coe seems more likely.

The non senior LB's made mistakes but showed promise. The secondary will be much better IMO, especially if Jamel stays.

Kicking should be better.

I am not saying we'd win the SEC, but I believe a running QB this season would have won 9 games, maybe 10 to this point. No reason to think it wouldn't be possible next year.

Get Kelly Bryant, Pappoe, Nix, keep defensive guys from going pro. Try it out in 2019, if it doesn't work axe him. There was improvement on the o-line and the young receivers and RB's look good.

Another year would probably save us some face amongst coaches. If we can fire a guy for getting us to a bowl and with a $32 million buyout, then no coaches job is safe at AU. That contract has been a nightmare.

Tate. I don't see any coach we could get right now.

I think Gus could be good with tweaks. Hopefully, Gus would figure out what his bread and butter is with Tate.

What I want going into Year 6 is a head coach who could possibly be good at his job.

Honestly I'll take Tate.

We lose Ryan Davis, Cox and probably Stidham.

O-Line will be better next season. I feel better about the RB situation than most do, once Asa Martin gets some burn. And move Harold Joiner to H-Back.

Lots of young WRs, get Stove, Hastings and Slayton back with them. I just want a TE!!

I have more concern with the D. We lose all the LBs, Probably 3/4 of the starting DLine, and maybe Jamel Dean test the waters.

But I like what we have returning. Add a Tate to that...magic.

You mean RB singular? At one of the most high frequency injury positions?

Shivers did some good things this year. Not a Whitlow level workhorse, but for a true freshman he did well. I also kinda lump Schwartz in there. He's a WR, but some of his best plays were sweeps.

I just want all of this stuff to end. Preferably with either Tate or a new coach. If nothing changes and we whiff on Tate, it’s going to be a dull offseason.

all this

And find Gus a new home. There's NO TELLING what talent is already at hand and not being utilized. There's a flaw in him developing talent, or locating it, or knowing what to do with it... and another year is not going to change that unless it's him getting schooled. Some people need to be slapped in the face with their failure before they understand they're the problem not some other guy. A good kick in the arse and he might become a quality HC for someone.

Hasn't he already trashed the futures of enough highly rated recruits through ineptness, signing the wrong guy, or not knowing they weren't a fit for his system ? We already know he's not smart enough to build a system for what he's got!

We’ll probably get Tate and then have a QB battle with Willis.

“Well you know Willis has been in the system for a while and has had good weeks of practice. We’ll see where we’re at this week when we face Georgia at home. Might make a decision soon.”
