yeah we are talking about this as small change while other schools are talking BIG $$$. This was in a report about QB Ewers deciding between Texas and Texas Tech.

quote:

Earlier this week, Geoff Ketchum of Orangebloods.com reported Texas is offering “first-round draft pick-level NIL money” to Ewers.

“Word on the street is that first round draft pick-level NIL money is on the table for Quinn Ewers if he chooses Texas as his transfer destination,” Ketchum tweeted on Tuesday. “The weaponization on the NIL front is fully underway.”

A reported massive offer on the table from Texas might be able to sway his opinion. However, fans will just have to wait and see what happens next.

just think it's funny how the rule of "oh you can't donate directly that's a violation because your a booster as a fan" is somehow not the same as "oh you just pay this LLC, and they will make sure you get what's needed"

Like if a pimp said, “they pay to play checkers with my girls. We are providing a checkers partner.”

I feel like people have been telling me college football is going to be ruined my whole life and yet here we are

Maybe they’re right this time. But so far, I’m not really appalled by anything.

At least we are coming up with a plan to compete with what Texas and Bama are doing. What if no one picks to donate to women's basketball or soccer? Who decides how much money they are going to be paid?

It's happening you just don't realize it. In 10 years we will be complaining about the same handful of teams dominating every year. The same common denominator will be their NIL money pool and perks.

Many schools will not be able to compete with the perks and benefits to sway big time recruits

Of course you have the usual teams now but it will become more main stay no matter who coaches at the school

Eventually it will be regulated like a salary cap in the pros. As of now, let’s buy some damn players….

College football will be a complete shite show in 1-2 years

We basically have free agency (transfers) and no salary cap. even the NFL does not have that. Will benefit the folks with tons of money (TAMU).

I think we've watched the end of college football creeping in slowly for a while. This is the sprint to the finish.

It might not be the same teams that are dominating now, but teams in a large market or with an enormous alumni base will be all that's left soon. Smaller schools in smaller markets will fade.

I could be wrong and I hope I am.

Ruin?

Paying?

Been doing it in public for years with coaches, highest bidder wins, it's just been in private for players.

Maybe in 10 years Auburn finds their own Milton McGregor
