I find these posts pretty ironic coming from a fanbase who's HC went from HS to prime-time literally overnight. The reason why he hasn't coached "at this level" is because he went almost straight to Head Coaching at the Collegiate level. That shouldn't be viewed as a negative.

at Ellis being replaced with the coach from UAB. He has to feel like a loser. Guy hasn't coached a great unit in like 4-5 years.

How does Tamu land Foster and we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel for a high school coach out of work

If Clark is such a "good" option, why are we the only school looking at him? He's currently unemployed

Because with him having spent literally 99% of his coaching career in the state of Alabama, he is an unknown to most other out of state programs. In finding coaching talent, a school will always have the upper hand in knowing the candidates within their own borders...just like in recruiting. Think about it; who took the risk on Malzahn? Arkansas. Why didn't some other program hire him, considering that he was obviously an offensive genius? Given his astronomical success at Tulsa he clearly could have been a dynamite hire for several dozen programs across the South...
