They should just do 7 Iron Bowls over 10 weeks. Mix in Troy and UAB. Nobody leaves the state, sell tickets to fill half the stadium (temperature check at gate, masks required).

8/22 @ Auburn
8/29 @ Bama
9/5 UAB @ Auburn / Troy @ Bama
9/12 @ Auburn
9/19 @ Bama
9/26 Troy @ Auburn / UAB @ Bama
10/3 @ Auburn
10/10 @ Bama
10/17 BYE
10/24 Doubleheader @ Jordan-Hare
Troy vs. UAB @ 1pm
Bama @ Auburn @ 7pm

Over 40% of the cases infect those between the ages of 25-49. Of all those infected....85% go home fully recovered. No one mentions recovery. No one mentions that the most deaths caused so far ....have been the result of cancer patients and traditional medical needs have been on hold...Count those guys before crowing about Covid19.

Check ID's at the door ...Everyone 24 and younger ...come on in.

FWIW Keith said yesterday he heard from a G5 HC it's possible the SEC could work out a partnership with the ACC and Big 12 so AU just might be adding a Big-12 team in 2020.

FWIW JGT says restructuring the entire conference schedule for this season is still the plan for the SEC as of now.

Going to be great watching UGA play a balanced schedule with a new QB.

They have not had QB issues in a very long time and they have like 50, 5* players on the sidelines. I dont think a change in their schedule is going to slow them down..

Need to fix it permanently so long as they're at it.

From my topic on tRant from a few weeks ago:
quote:

Proposal 1: 6+1+2
Keep the current divisional alignment, but have each team play their 6 intradivisional opponents plus 1 permanent interdivisional foe, then 2 additional interdivisional teams, rotating to 2 of the other 4 remaining interdivisional opponents every other year

Proposal 2: 5+4
Scrap the divisions, and have each team play 5 permanent opponents, plus 4 of the remaining 8 conference teams, rotating to the other 4 every other year

Obviously Proposal 1 would be the easiest to implement, as it would only entail adding one conference game against another team from the opposite division, whereas Proposal 2 would involve a significant realignment of schedules, and a new method of determining CG opponents - but since the powers that be are talking seriously about shitcanning all of their carefully planned schedules this year anyway, why not?
The more I think about it, the more I hope they choose something like these two ideas going forward. It's past time to go to a 9-game conference schedule just to accommodate the 2012 expansion.

Here's a sample of what our next four SEC schedules could look like using Proposal 1 (West opponents listed first, followed by UGa and rotating East teams):

Year 1
Arky
LSU
TAMU
@MSU
@Ole Miss
@Bama
@UGa
UK
@SC

Year 2
@Arky
@LSU
@TAMU
MSU
Ole Miss
Bama
@UGa (makeup for 2013)
@Vandy
Mizzou

Year 3
Arky
LSU
TAMU
@MSU
@Ole Miss
@Bama
UGa
UF
@UT

Year 4
@Arky
@LSU
@TAMU
MSU
Ole Miss
Bama
@UGa
@UK
SC

Everything I’ve heard/read is that any changes made in the schedule this season would be a one off and not have any impact on future scheduling.

I’m one of those pods scheduling guys. Drop the divisions. Have three teams play permanently which for us would be Bama, UGA, and one of the Mississippi teams and play five of the other 10 in a rotating basis. This will allow every team to play every other team two times every four years. Also keep the conference championship game and the game would be between the two teams to have the best record overall each conference season.

Maybe but I had fun watching that season. It could have been better but there were some great moments in there.
