...this morning

-near lock to go to a conference-only schedule
-each team's schedule could be completely reset
-divisions (temporarily) eliminated
-aiming to prioritize really big rivalry series
-emphasis would be on first 8 games & then making Game 9 & 10 almost provisional — assuming the US isn't in a "second wave" of viral spread when November comes

So Auburn will still have the hardest schedule, not much has changed.

Bama would be moved up to game 8 as it's a high priority game. Games 9 & 10 are if we can play them games.

If the year actually happens, this could be a really fun change up. Also should make for fantastic transitive property arguments on the rant.

Why would Kentucky still not remain on our schedule, even they re-organize the conference games?

I don't see this schedule for Auburn.

With no divisions the schedules would be completely reset except for Rivalries. Florida, Vols, & SC are closer to AU than UK.

I am clearly not going to be in charge of our schedule, just thought that would be a fun conference schedule for us.

Would you rather play Kentucky instead of Fla, Tenn, or SC?

ahhh..so the intent is adding more conference games based on proximity and travel for teams? I see.

This is when i wished Auburn was closer in distance to Tenn than Fla, then we could add Vandy and KY.

Assuming fans are allowed at games, I wonder how they would handle ticketing.

Season ticket holders paid for 7 home games. 8 game schedule would be 4 home & 4 away, 10 game schedule would be 5 & 5.

Would they just increase the price of each ticket to balance out the overall cost (even a bad SEC match-up is more valuable than a cupcake)?

Don't know that's how it would be. Just a guess on my part.

Wouldn't assume that at all. Right now it's looking like no fans or family only.

Conference only regular seasons with 16 team CFP.

We get to play all of our brothers and rivals more frequently and we get to play the good teams from each conference at the end of the year.

There's never been 8 teams deserving a playoff shot at season's end much less 16. No thanks.

How about a season long SEC double elimination tournament. If you get eliminated, you can still play games.

Now there's talk of the ACC playing 10 conference-only games but playing 5 teams in a home & home deal instead of 10 different conference opponents.

I'm fine with no fans at iron bowl this year.

Then we back to normal at Auburn in 2021 packed out

so after we play FL, LSU, UGA, and BAMA if and that is a BIG IF we are lucky to still be playing we will get to limp into games with Arkansas and Vandy?
