I'm a terrible gaping vag. Thank you for your concern. It does my estrogen filled body wonders!

What's ironic, you're complaining about the opinions of others while calling them pussies about complaining. I know right, it's great!

Supposedly it's to help the qb get the ball out faster, but I fail to see the logic of it.
You fall to see the logic?

The QB is in the shotgun 99% of the time. You think he catches the ball with his fingers on the laces every time? Or you think when he throws a quick pass he should take the time to adjust the ball in his hand before trying to throw?

Does he adjust the ball for the laces on longer developing passes? Never really realized this or read about it

I am just as worried about Nick Marshall not being able to find throwing lanes against tall defenses. shite that was annoying

Football has been around a long time. Hundreds and thousands of quarterbacks have been able to catch the ball and find the laces with zero thought or effort and gotten the ball out quickly. Don't make it sound as if the qb has to physically go searching for the laces. Unless your qb is throwing the football the moment he catches it, what is the purpose? It's awkward as hell throwing like that, especially if you haven't been doing it very long.

I'm pretty sure on the bubble screens this is exactly what happens.

I would assume he goes to his natural throws for anything not immediate

Cam always had his fingers on the laces, is this something new Gus is teaching not holding the laces.

it looks to just be on the quick-hitting screens to the WRs... receiving the snap and getting rid of the ball as quickly as possible... spinning the ball in your hands waists time.

I look at it like a catch-n-shoot jumpshot... when shooting a free throw, we all get our hands on the laces just how we like it... that's not always the case when shooting a jumper.

No it's not. Gus only teaches the quick throw on the bubble screens. I remember Cam taking about how it was wierd at first for him. NM can find the seams on every other pass play. People are just making shite up as they go in here.

It really doesn't take long for a QB to adjust the ball in his hands to line up the laces in a shotgun snap. I have a hard time believing this is taught. Anyone have a link of any kind to back that up. TIA

I don't see the problem with it, really... he usually gets great zip on the ball and has been pretty accurate, considering his limited experience in this system... the short screens for the most part have been accurate.

He's getting better and better at the deep ball as well... and i'm pretty sure he's throwing those passes with his hands on the laces.

Never thought it was a problem. I just don't ever remember seeing it taught by Gus from a legitimate source.

There are several Qb's that don't throw with the laces on quick throws.

Is this what we've become? Searching for pictures of QBs and laces placement?
