For the record, I despise Mason's defense. Soft defenses have no place at Auburn. I hope he finds another job and soon.
I've been saying this since Mason was hired. Dave Aranda had this same issue when he ironically took over at LSU from Kevin Steele. It took about half a season for LSU to begin playing well on defense. As simple as Gus was on offense, Steele was also similar particularly in the secondary.
