Once he stopped trying to be a poor mans Paul Finebaum, he got better. For awhile he tried the Finebaum tried and true method of dropping bombastic statements then waiting for the unwashed masses to go spastic in reaction. Only Paul gets away with that. its his model, developed since the early 80s when he was a writer for the Birmingham News.
