More recruiting to complain about… now that the kicker is rated in we are solidly ahead of Miss State and Vandy per player rating in conference. Errr… well I guess I should say Vandy since Miss State is right on our heels.

Whatever happens I don’t think we will “buy” our way to the top.

I don’t think any school will, but schools could easily “not buy” their way to the bottom. It will just become a thing schools do to keep up.

There will always be those who do. Just like there's always been those that have. Only difference is now they'll PR up, instead of lawyer up, when there's negative attention.

I shouldn’t have put it on AU athletics as much as the meddlesome boosters now have an avenue to help and I expected maybe a little more coming out of the box is all. Maybe they are trying to figure out what will be allowed without any investigations?

Now you're getting it. :)

I think Auburn's AD is doing ALL it is allowed or thinks it's allowed to do at this point until the NCAA/Congress nail down better guidelines.

Until then..it's up to boosters/businesses to walk that NIL line to players. This guy in Miami is just one of the first aggressive supporters who found a way to promote and get Miami in front...for now.

Auburn, as we all know our history, is never going to be on the bleeding edge of new ways to recruit or provide incentives to players....but it will be a solid active player, IMO.

That is unacceptable.
