Mods at TAMU 247 site said that Stidham wasn't brought up at all in the two hour in home visits, and Mond and his family are under the impression Stidham isn't an option.

Also said he is under the impression A&M decided not to bring him in and that they may consider Zaire and Matt Davis.

Their mod also posted that he believes Stidham wants to be at TAMU, but the Aggies are going with Mond. They will have a Stidham update later, and expect the coaches to talk with him.

Lashlee will take another job elsewhere and Young Briles will be hired.

With that said Stidham is coming to Auburn.

One or both of those statements are true.

Why would the Aggies pick Mond over Stidham?

I think they've gotten themselves in a pickle and are a sticking with Mond instead of rolling the dice and maybe losing both.

Or they could be playing us and Mond and know they have Stidham already locked in.

I doubt he would have come for the 2 day visit if that was the case tho

Mond will be there for 3-4 years and Stidham 1-2.

Kellen Mond might not even make it 2 years.

Look at all that have transferred from Texas A&M...

Kyle Allen
Kenny Hill
Matt Davis
Kyler Murray

I could only read a few of those posts cause I aint no member. But, in the few I did read, not one of them claimed we were paying or getting Stidham laid

I didn't want to go there because I was afraid Mond reads our board. I want him to go to A&M and we get Stidham...

He goes on vacation in two weeks and will have a decision by that time but will entertain more options.
Auburn is the odds on favorite at this time because of the uncertainty around A&M’s intentions but that's subject to change at any point.
Two head coaches from other prominent programs in this region have been in touch, one being from the SEC west as early as today, but no visits have been planned to either program.
Finally, should Kevin Sumlin call Stidham, set up an in-home, make it clear he’s wanted at Texas A&M, and lays out his plan for his future in Mazzone’s offense, he would likely be an Aggie in short order.

Yeah well all radio had to do was hop on his bike and ride down the street. And Stidham is Caucasian. So we have that going for us.

so what makes us so damn sure that stidham is going to come in and not only take the starting job from SW, but be our savior?

He can run better than Sean. He's a little faster and bigger than SW. He's got a couple nice runs on his highlight (so does SW btw), but he's not am elite runner by any means. His overall rush numbers were possible poor. White actually had better rushing numbers.

His arm looks a little stronger than White, but they have similar styles when throwing the ball. Stidham was in a more pass friendly offense but he's like a clone of healthy SW in terms of efficiency.

Stidham is a step up talent wise from SW. But if we continue to get the same shite play calling I'm just not convinced it's a big enough gap to make much of a difference.

and let's not act like Sean White is some shite QB that's holding us back. Healthy full-tune starting SW wins 10 games this year. The biggest plus of adding Stidham isn't his ralent, but the depth and security he adds. No matter who started next year, if they went down we could send in another competent and experienced QB.

I see a long and interesting QB battle this offseason if we land JS
