This particular transfer of offensive coaching and personnel from a smaller school just hasn't worked out. Whereas something similar worked out for Indiana.

Only 1 or 2 more years and we will be better or have someone else.

Maybe, or maybe not. Brown is not going to be the best QB in the league, and agree that the OL is far from where it needs to be. That said, with a late November hire, I don't think it's fair to judge Comrade Golesh based on '26 alone. He definitely needs to show strong progress by next year though.

BB has to be more of a run threat. He's a dual-threat QB shoved into a pocket-passer mold. His throwing motion alone, negates him being a pocket-passer. I've already lost count of how many batted down balls he's had. Pass protection has been hit and miss, but a lot of his sacks are due to him holding the ball too long. He just doesn't seem to have the ability to recognize that the pass play called is covered up, and now is the time to use his legs. I watched the QB from across the State continually burn USC that way, last night.

It really is a shame a kid has come this far and no one has taught him proper throwing mechanics. It’s one thing when you’re in high school and can simply out athlete your competition, but eventually you have to be able to step up and deliver a pass without the goofy arse throwing motion.

Interesting take. Personally IDGAF if his throwing motion “looks goofy” or unorthodox.

Arch Manning has some unorthodox throwing motion despite having a family of quarterback coaches that conduct annual passing camps attended by thousands of hs qbs from across the country. Somehow nobody seems to mind that he continues to win.

If you were to put BB behind even an average OL he would be the talk of the town …. but he will never see that at Auburn during his CFB career.

Will our next QB see even an average OL at Auburn? That’s something I have wished for for the last 6 years … but it has not happened.

Respectfully, I’m more focused on the OL because it has been , by far, our biggest deficiency for many years.

We’ve been consistently good at recruiting solid skill position players, as evidenced by the numerous players that have departed and shown success with other programs (e.g. Bo Nix and a long list of others.)

Our OL has been a root cause deficiency that impacts skill position production and their resulting recruitment/ retention. And our OL (unlike our DL) has been in the bottom 20% of the SEC for many years.

And the SEC is a line of scrimmage league for as long as I can remember.
