I get your point TJ can't escape the pressure but i'd just be curious to see how he does staying in the pocket letting things develop

I guess that's my point. Everyone wonders how he'd do, but we've seen that it probably wouldn't be very good. The bottom line as our team is currently built you have to have a mobile QB. It helps with the run and it accounts for more than half of the passing so far. uga wasn't even defending last night and TJ still missed some throws.

Bo does need to learn to use his legs North more...he should step in and through the pocket.

Absolutely. I get the OL is bad, but they haven't been nearly as bad as everyone believed they would be. Especially pass blocking. Bo was running around a lot yesterday, but he reverted back to bailing on food pockets at times again.

When he turns his back to the play, it's impossible for him to see anyone who may be breaking open. The magic he had against LSU won't work against teams that can actually tackle like UGA. He's got to figure out how to slide in the pocket and keep his eyes down field. If he ever figures it out, it will open his game up so much more.

TJ was in in for an entire 4th quarter. One three and out after another.

In the final drive he was hit and miss.

TJ is like the kid that makes miraculous catch in fall training, then makes the first team as a gifted receiver and never performs after that one moment in the sun.

In fact, on the breakdown on the the fourth down play ....TJ was lucky he didn't trip over his own feet.

Mythically he becomes a savior for all.

Trouble is .... appraently he isn't during practice ...

One of the issues with the OL is no one respects our passing game. They just load the box and blitz. Until we can throw behind them, we have no chance at running.

ETA

And I hope we never run a bubble screen again when Bo leaves.

It's a known phenomenon how fans think the backup QB is better.

Usually they come in with no pressure against a defense that hasn't prepared for them, and often when the game is out of hand so the defense is playing conservative anyway.

It's like how Jeremy Johnson could light it up as a backup but the stress of starting seemed to get to him.

Just looking at this play over and over again. This wasn’t a fastball. It was sharp but effective.Shivers upgraded to full blame.

Murray is lying.

Bo was sharp on a lot of throws yesterday. i'd rather him zip it in than loft it up, especially against a defense like Georgia.

also, putting Murray on the call was such a disrespectful and unprofessional move from CBS. he tried to hide his dawg bone as best he could but it made the game even more insufferable.

love the new pic.

If we had WRs that could catch worth a shite, things may have been different. I'm so tired of seeing every team we play have WRs that catch everything thrown at them while ours can't catch a cold.

Yes he should but being a coaches son and already at this point in his career I think it's safe to say he ain't staying in the pocket ever.

Is D. Davis not an option? I thought he was extremely mobile and has a cannon for an arm.

I think most of this analysis is very surface level analysis, we need a bit more of a total picture of each play, and most of that is accessible. Bo was pretty much on target all game, but his speed on the ball was a bit much sometimes. The O-line only broke down when it seemed like it was meant to break down, meaning those were meant to be a quick route, but our receivers aren't getting open. Our WRs are very much in shambles though when it comes to rotation, route running, QB to WR timing, and an emphasis on rotating in benched players each game.

It feels like for each game they are like, eh--we are only going to use these 2 or 3 receivers mainly and the rest of you sit. It feels like the teacher's pet for the week get the reps, while some that maybe don't "Hard work" it for the week get to sit.

There would be no discussion of Bo throwing the ball "hard" without Murray and his noodle arm saying something. You gonna believe your eyes or what Murray says?

Like I said in game and after the game. Bo played very well.
