This should be Cox w/His seniority and supposed toughness and attitude, but he has firmly hitched himself to Stidham and in doing so probably shunned some guys who've been there before Stidham.

Isn't Cox Stidham's roommate?

I think BM gets so much hate due to his delivery of info and his general smug attitude towards AU. He seems like he takes pleasure in AU turmoil.
Agree, he whines and complains way more than any other beat writer out there. He is very annoying and smug. I would be more than ok if Gus locks him out and forces him to relocate.

be that as it may even the most rockhard sunshine pumper has to agree to something is amiss when a QB who looked somewhat decent last year is nothing but a shell this year. chunking a pass and hoping someone comes down with it. and standing and waiting to get pancaked before even considering getting rid of the ball

Because we do not practice correctly to allow us to evaluate our talent. There is a reason for 4 plus year we have to make changes to the OL during the season. Whatever we are doing is not correct.

This is starting to sound like the Barfield years. These type of comments occurred in the barber shop, or when two or more Auburn fans got together.

OT but "culture" related so I figured I'd throw it out

Antwuan Jackson is one of only ~4-5 new players at Ohio St not to have their "Black Stripe" removed. Ohio St players enter the program with a black stripe on their helmets and only get it removed when they "earn" the right to be a "Buckeye"

Sounds like Jackson being unmotivated and soft was legit

So are you saying our next head coach will be the one to make Saban quit then die?

Cole Cubelic tees off on anonymous source players. Pretty good rant if I must say.

This is why Cubelicnis the best. You can tell he is still a big Auburn fan despite having to hold neutral opinions as a media personality.

Wow he went off!

Maybe we need to let Cube give the pre-game pep talks

I've said it before, in this forum and others, the 1981 Auburn Tigers are one of my all-time favorite Auburn teams.

Agreed. Unfortunately this team is looking like the 1980 team, and we are playing Tenn today, I was at that game 38 years ago, low point of being an Auburn fan. That "team" just quit, and this one is looking similar.

I agree it sounded good, but I don't necessarily agree with him.

This is a coach's failure to build a culture and lack of control/outright ignoring what is in his locker room.

As someone who was also at J-H that day, I hope you are mistaken. The talent level is light years apart, especially on the defensive side. Outside of James Brooks we had virtually no weapons on offense either.

That said, the Vols team that humiliated us that sunny September afternoon wasn't much better than the one we will face in a few hours. Their only SEC victories that year were against the three worst teams in the SEC, namely AU, Vandy and Kentucky, who were collectively 1-17 in conference play (the lone win being UK over the Doremats), lost at home to a bad Ole Miss team and finished 5-6.

Their schedule was absolutely brutal, however. Of their 11 opponents, three finished in the top 6 in the AP's final poll (#1 UGa, #2 Pitt, and #6 Bama) and they also played #11 USC.

I was at the game too. I was only four at the time but two things I’ll never forget from that day is it was the first time I ever remember being hot and it was the first time I ever remember hearing my old man say frick.
