Pettway: out for season?

James and Horton: ???

The offensive line has some depth. Still lack 2 dominant tackles, but who doesn't?

Is there a way to have a little more speed on the punt team? The 3 protector wall guys are not real swift and the punter is not able to track down world class athletes.

What was going on with Carlson. I asked this a few weeks back. He has been a 80% touchback guy and now he can not even get it in the end zone

The pooch kicks worked last night but I still like him kicking it through the endzone

I didn’t really like it at all. Made me nervous everytime because they risk giving up a return for a TD.

Not sure if it’s a concerted effort to save his strength, or if he’s just off... the 54 yarder makes it seem like he’s close to 100%.

The fact he’s been so automatic for 4 years of touchbacks means our kick coverage isn’t used to actually having to tackle... and it shows.

We should make Febe Chizik be our special teams coach.

I've heard he's not coming back. Ever. I'm not sure I believe that.

What we are seeing right now with our RB depth shows how important it is for Auburn to got some good backs in recruiting.

Carlson has had trouble at the end of every season getting touchbacks

Because of the injury or something else? He was on the sideline last night.

I've heard that it's something else, but I don't believe. One thing Gus has done is kick trouble makers out, regardless of how big of a star. If Pettway was truly in trouble, long term, Gus wouldn't hesitate.

I really think all the touchbacks made the team complacent and out of practice on kickoff returns. I think teams are starting to learn that even if it gets to the endzone it's worth bringing out on us. I don't mind the pooch kicks because they pretty much all ended with them getting worse field position than they did with the regular kickoffs.

He wouldn't have been on the sidelines yesterday if that were true, unless he goes pro after this year which I don't see happening.
