It seems clear that Morris is repackaging WR/FB/HB spots as TE spots.
It’s just not something we’re used to

So Bama is getting the Brockmeyer's, Latham, and now it looks like the Ferguson kid from GA? Great.

Look at who we're recruiting against at our 2 biggest rivals. Sal Sunseri, CHarles Kelly, Kyle Flood, Matt Luke.
We have a first year coach who is an unknown around these parts. We're lucky to land who we can.
Frick those Brockmeyer bois though they are beasts! I wanted them to stay in Texas

Just to be clear on TE, we are still looking at taking the same amount there. Its just now we are looking at Trigg and Cane Berrong now instead of only Trigg.
Also, I'm just going to go out on a limb here, but I'm not mad about missing on James Brockermeyer.. I know he's the number one C and all that, but I just don't see it. He's getting boosted because of his brother and dad imo.

It’s an epic OL class they’re putting together

Auburn’s OL recruiting is laughable.

247 reporting that Auburn had a big virtual visit & presentation with 4* WR Malcolm Johnson Jr yesterday.
They’ll likely make a trip through a few campuses, including Auburn, in the next few months to see campus in person. Sounds like his dad was very impressed with everything

I really like him. Catches well with his hands, good leaping ability. Doesn't have blazing top end speed, but 4.2 shuttle is lightning quick.

good lord that looks like jr. high football

I think when it comes to recruiting he is a fraud for gloating over an accuracy of predictions when most of them already had a consensus. His podcast is legit so he could and should drop the recruiting insider act.

quote:Yup & on their recruiting podcasts lately they talk about the same 5 or 6 guys each week with very little change in the info as in nothing new added.
It’s not about bashing him for being wrong. It’s not about him being wrong at all. It’s the overall act. He and his posse fish for attention on twitter with the normal “gimme 20 retweets and I’ll spread some dope information” posts but then disseminate next to nothing. I don’t like that love me clickbait as much as others.

Since like 2014. I am open to give this new OL coach a chance.

quote:No he's not. That's misinformation from Duke. Approximately 350 recruits in each class are rated 4* or better by 247. At #195 DD is not really close to being a borderline 3*.
He'll be a borderline 3* now if that matters to you.

I’m a little surprised.
I thought he was going to develop into a real threat at WR.

His Opening 40 time was 4.6. I'm not saying he is slow by any means.

I'll see if I can find the video to show you what I mean.. give me a few minutes.

Obviously not an apples to apples comparison, and you can see that Leary is faster, but not by a lot.
Also when I was googling for the videos I found this article about him from June 1. Its a good read if anyone is interested.

Allegedly, Auburn is making things interesting for #1 5* ‘22 QB Quinn Ewers
Ohio State, OU, and Auburn might be the leading 3 right now. Credit goes for Morris

Wonder if it is a good move to focus more on TX vs GA/FL? Not opposed, but it is different.
