Is this a legit question or did you just not really follow recruiting at all this past cycle?

Did we really just sign a 6'3 240lb long snapper???
Yep. It was the beginning of the end. Same thing that happened under Tuberville. Signing a LS when you have a 25 limit is a very bad sign for the health of a program.

Bama’s LS was a 2* that committed during the summer in the middle of the recruiting cycle. Full scholarship. That program seems to be doing fine

Hey, Look on the bright side, Captain...it gives you another chance to do what you love to do... shite on all things Auburn.

CB isn’t completely off his rocker. There’s schools that don’t give long snappers scholarships out of high school. Many offer them as preferred walk-on’s and they earn a scholarship a year or two later.
But in the last 5 years, LSU, Bama, Oregon, ND, Florida and so on have signed at least one to a scholarship out of high school. We obviously have a need for LS with Bill Taylor leaving and we have scholarships available.

And another one.... this is the way.
ETA: Uscher just said 4 today on twitter.
ETA2: Keith just said "interesting" on twitter while quote-tweeting Harsin. Still waiting for Keef's thoughts.

I agree with Captain Bitchagain.. we shouldn’t spend a scholly on a LS when special teams are of no importance. It’s not like field goals or field position has any impact in football. Come on now.. Tuberville.. lack of scholarships.. we’re practically full, why would we fill a need when it could be used to sign a player that’ll never play useful minutes.

No. I was talking about Gus signing a long snapper.
Why is Harsin signing one too?
Posted on 2/1/21 at 10:04 pm to CaptainBrannigan
Soooooo who were the most recent commits? Never saw official word.
Posted on 2/1/21 at 10:06 pm to AUEE13
2 have announced. 2 haven't. So apparently Harsin is gonna tweet out the War Eagle whenever he gets one, whether it's a silent commit or verbal.

Ok that's not fair

Because we need it? Seems pretty obvious when you look at our depth. And if our staff realized we had a need, why not fill it?

Y’all are getting ahead of yourselves. We don’t know what the offer is (could be a preferred walk on) and he hasn’t committed

I have no idea what the conditions are..
