We've reached out to FCS QB transfer Jason Brown from St. Francis.

quote:

Last week he and the Saint Francis Red Flash football team were prepping for a spring season. Brown, the team’s redshirt junior quarterback, was coming off an honorable mention All-American campaign. He wanted to build on the final six games of a 2019 season that saw him pass for 1,878 yards and 20 touchdowns against three interceptions while completing 66 percent of his passes.
St. Francis cancelled its spring season even though the conference is playing, so I'm assuming he would still have 2 years of eligibility left.

He’s a big boy. Sounds like he has some other options so I’m curious to know where this leads

USCe fans on 247 were trying to convince eachother that it was Shaw that was the key to Stockton coming there. Now it’s obvious.

I think he goes with Auburn but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him totally open it up and talk to more schools

Hunter looks like a very fast and direct runner.

according to a (now edited out) comment on the SECrb, apparently they think Stockton’s head is just “up Bobo’s butt”

For the 2021 class they’ve signed Brock Vandagriff

Wasn't he an AU commit at one point?

Not to cloud up the recruiting thread any, but where in the hell did SC football fans get this kind of arrogance? Jeebus. I was ready their comments about Stockton just last night, so this is extra entertaining.

No, just a target.

Correct. Brock was a serious target that had Auburn connections (mom) and visited often. Ultimately, he wasn’t very excited about Auburn’s offense or the QB play recently. Then he committed to Oklahoma. Then UGA.

I would say that Brock is probably a better passer (slightly) than Gunner. However, unlike Bo (and to an extent, Brock), Gunner has an advanced running game.

Gunner runs like a big physical running back, like a more athletic Tebow. Love the way he totes it. Curious to see how much Bobo and Harsin would play into that if he ends up here.

One thing of note.. Gunner Stockton plays in 2A ball and Vandagriff plays in single A. Not to say they aren't good, but they are beating up on some small, way lesser talented teams.

He is coming to Auburn. That one you can count on.

If you saw Gunner play in the state playoffs, you would just wipe this from your mind.

He is pretty solid. Played for a very good Georgia program
