Are these two Juco offensive tackles we picked up going to contribute next year?
At this point we are three years of recruiting away from having decent OL.
And this nonsense of JC, Grad Transfer, and DL converts certainly looks like the days of the Washington Redskins when George Allen was head coach, piecing together misfits every year.

Coffey played some this year and looked OK. Needs to put on weight though. Hard to disagree though.

Zierer had the ACL. Coffey has been good at guard so far but you can tell he’s learning still. Gets good push but has missed some assignments. He’s not going to get out-physicaled often.
Jernigans and Johnson are decent OG prospects. I like Langlo and Roberts in this class. We’ll get Brandon council back. It’s literally the bare minimum still. Really tough to make this group great

I guess Lee Hunter isn’t very much committed. That would mean 0 zero recruits in Alabama and Georgia combined if he doesn’t sign. He seems weird.

KN also said that someone close to his recruitment said not to put much stock into the tweet and that he had done this sort of thing before and nothing came of it.

Hunter used to openly tweet at other fanbases to follow him, and he’d use different graphics with their school’s gear to gain followers.

Byron Young is down to 4: Auburn, Mizzou, Tennessee, and FSU.
All because he likes the depth charts at these schools best. Tea leaves point to Auburn, IMO

Glad the others said it first.. Unless Hunter actually decommits I wouldn't worry. Its the last weeks of his recruitment. He enjoys the process so it doesn't surprise me that he's going to try to make the most of it lol.

Let’s keep the coaching change conversation on the other threads on the board.
This one is just recruiting. Yes, coaches come into play but let’s keep this on track for at least a few more weeks. There’s a lot going on and it’s better if we don’t have to sort through other stuff to get to the thread’s purpose

Lee Hunter told 247 this morning that he’s committed and solid to Auburn. His coach also said he didn’t think Auburn had anything to worry about.
This won’t be the end of it — but I’d take early morning tweets from recruits with a grain of salt for now

4* LB Trevin Wallace said Auburn is his leader. He signs next week.
It’s also seeming more and more likely Goodwin sticks in this class. I noticed KN included him with a group of likely additions. Fortunately for Auburn, FSU and LSU may be bigger dumpster fires right now

Gonna be a weird finish when we only sign around 18-20 kids but the overall grade per recruit is around a .9100 and finish about 18th. Garner will finish strong. T-Will will get at least one high ranking kid. We will steal someone from somewhere and in March/April we will get a filler in for some hole we have on the roster depending on who leaves or enters the draft.

Targets haven’t been updated in a while but I can list off the probably guys that we’re watching — good or bad — later tonight. KN mentioned that they’ll hopefully learn more names this week.
I haven’t updated the target list due to the fact that we really haven’t learned too many more names from the beginning since reporters are reporting on campus when kids visit for officials, unofficials, games, etc.

Roc Taylor and Dylan Brooks are least likely to be in the class on this list. The others seem probable to certain, but we could melt hard on a few of them

Balfour is still getting good offers. He has two recent offers from Oregon and Tennessee
Byron Young is a JUCO guy. Has offers from UGA, FSU, LSU, Missouri, and so on
Other guys to watch are Savion Byrd and Jeremiah Williams. I think the boat has sailed on both but they’re worth keeping an eye on.
And there’s guys that Auburn is recruiting but we just don’t know about. So we’ll certainly get a surprise commit or two. Without on campus recruiting it’s really tough to know everyone the coaches are talking to and recruiting hard

That would be a pretty incredible close to the class. Any idea if we picked up most of them and a toss up or 2 where that might put us?
