Yeah there was some talk that a few coaches think he could actually end up at DT.. He hasn't responded well to the weight gain at all. I'm curious as to why he hasn't tried to slim back down since he's having trouble adjusting though.

I think It’s just his body type. We forget sometimes these are growing kids. I’m not sure his weight gain was completely intentional as much as it was just genetically predestined

I don’t think he’s our favorite pass rush option but he’s certainly a guy we want and would take right now

OT remains an issue. Gotta have HS guys to balance the depth chart or else we’re in the transfer or JUCO market every year.
We were in a good spot with Johnson, Langlo, and Gooch but now we’re down to Langlo.

Also, with the potential new transfer rule, UGA/UA and the likes won't be able to make promises about playing time. This new rule can really help Gus out if he leverages it correctly.

He's technically proficient and never stops moving his feet. There are a couple of plays where he's zone blocking and peels off the first layer (DT) to get the LB. Does this incredibly well. Also shows him pulling which is not something you usually see in a zone scheme (AU does this too), and he pulls incredibly well too. He's athletic enough to play OT, OG, or C IMO. Great pick-up.

Good analysis. He’d be a backup tackle I think, but would excel in the middle. He screams Center, so maybe a replacement for Brahms
