Kind of nice to have some peace and quiet this weekend. Did some yard work earlier, a small bit of work to get ahead for next week, and now I’m two beers into the evening.

I’m starting to notice the older I get the less hustle and bustle I want. I’m going to enjoy a bourbon or two or three tonight because Pedialyte and Tums help for a good rise in the morning.

What are you knuckleheads doing?

Watched my girls cheer in youth football league. Tinkering around in garage and drinking now. Pretty boring day.

I’ve been longing for a boring weekend. Lot of things around the house to do. With the Ole Miss game at Auburn next week, I won’t be able to do much here.

Ran this AM. I was a bit dehydrated from Friday evening drinking. After 64 oz of water and some chocolate milk I was back in business. Now, romaine salad, sous vide NY strip, cauliflour rice, and Hop Rising, # to be determined. I'm going to watch the Utes here in an hour. They are in Corvailis and OSU is much improved. Corvalis reminds me very much of Auburn. Its a great college town.

Date with the wife tonight. Probably will just turn into dinner. Will be checking the phone for scores occasionally and then later tonight I’ll watch the replay of the main ufc card on espn+.

Are you from Utah/live there? I was able to do one day in south Utah parks and am wanting to get back soon to do their other parks. It’s really beautiful and peaceful out there.

Born in Auburn, AHS then AU for undergrad. One of my last consulting projects for Unisys Corporation after AU was in Salt Lake City and I loved it so much I've never left. Similar ethos to the south and I still have an old house down in Auburn too so I get back to see my siblings. I love it. Its an easy transition to UT from AL because I grew up doing outdoor stuff. The topography is different but if you like outdoor things its great.

Wife is finally down here in Florida with me fir a few days. She has interviews Monday. Hopefully she will be here with me full time at the beginning of December

Cooking her my favorite Florida meal tonight. 3 pounds of fresh caught grouper fillets and some asparagus. Yellow rice on the stove, Rita’s in the glasses. Fantastic off week.

That looks delicious. IMO you cut your asparagus too short, moneybags. I like a little more fiber. Cheers.

Now I want a grouper sandwich. I’m not big on short fat asparagus. I prefer my skinnier.

I bought them at the farmers market just like that. Drizzled a little olive oil on them, added some black pepper and out them on the smoker.

For the record, that asparagus was awesome on the smoker.

In Savannah this weekend with the wife and kids. This place is fricking nuts. Like a not as trashy/smelly New Orleans. Been at it hard all day, sitting in the hotel room now watching Bama play.

I’ve been to Savannah a few times and always had a good time. Like you say it’s not smelly like Nawlins. The river walk is fun. The food is good and it’s cool just to watch the giant cargo ships go through.

Definitely is. My favorite restaurants are away from Bay, River, and Broad and generally are in local areas past Liberty. My parents live on a square in the historical district and they’ve said this year has been the busiest yet. Probably due to a year of folks not being able to get out
