If Gus has any balls at all he'd step down

A man is supposed to take pride in his work. How can you call yourself a man and see yourself failing miserably at your job and just continue to collect checks and dig a deeper hole for the next guy?
If this trajectory continues then Gus needs to man the frick up, own his failure, and resign.

Because he’s an arrogant and stubborn little man

I hope he gets fired and then never gets a D1 job again. He needs a Georgia southern type job

The amount of talent and resources at auburn is significant. The job he is doing is not.
He needs to go. I’m sick of his fricking arse.

Don't be stupid. Even taking his buyout, Gus earns $12mil less
That $12mil by itself is generational wealth.

Generations of your family name being associated with being a bitch, across a whole region of the country.

Chizik seems to be doing ok with the family association of being a bitch

Chizik isnt a bitch. Its different when you know you're going to get fired anyway, but Gus knows he's put Auburn in a shitty spot. With Chizik Auburn had the choice, the choice is with Gus now.

Chizik got back into coaching and proved he could still do it as a DC.

This should be a wakeup call to Auburn admin. Chill with the huge contracts. I would rather see them have a 2 year 6-7 million contract per year than this crap. I doubt most coaches would balk at that kind of money. Renegotiation at the end of year two for one year extensions. Make these overpaid a-holes earn their money

Ya, I'll take being a shitty SEC Champ football coach and a minimum $32mil payout anyday

If I was making $7M a year, you'd have to call the cops to cuff me and carry me out.
Not Gus's fault Auburn decided to pay him "market rate".
(Thanks SO VERY MUCH, Gus "Market Rate" Defense Squad.)

We should have wrapped Gus in a big red bow and delivered him to Arkansas last year. At least they are accustomed to dealing with this level of misery

For Real. Gus won’t negotiate away his buyout or settle for less. The best that Auburn can do is make his life miserable. Which sucks because he is a great coach six days of the week.

If he had any balls at all, we wouldn't be in this situation. He'd be doing things that coaches with balls do: adapting, pulling players that aren't getting it done, chewing arse on the sidelines, not settling for mediocrity
