Being an old bastard (well, middle-aged) gives me a different perspective. I was okay with it right after it happened.
We were coming off the worst season in my lifetime - yes, worse even than Shug's miserable farewell tour in '75, the hideous spectacle of the Ramsey debacle in Dye's last season in '92, and Bowden's embarrassing midseason bail in '98. and we played our guts out for the entire season, even down to the final play. You simply can't ask for more than that out of your favorite sports team.
I will never look back at 2013 with less than a feeling of immense pride and gratitude. And the BCSCG loss is a part of that.
(However, I will admit that when I took my daughter on a college tour to F$U a few weeks ago, and pulled up in front of Doak-Campbell only to see a huge banner of Davis getting beat for the winning score draped above the entrance, I was pretty fricking pissed.)

I have been much better than I would have had I not sat through every game of 2012. I felt like we were playing with house money all year anyway. But after the DSOR, I would have considered 2013 a great year for AU Football if it ended that moment. It didn't though and we were 13 seconds away from the Title! I am of the opinion that we will have a better shot at sustainable success by coming so close than we would have by winning it last year. I believe we are set for a run unlike any other in AU history.

Let the Hate flow...very good. It wouldn't hurt to make them watch Winston's post game antics as well. Just in case it didn't sting enough to watch the game.

Wait a damn minute.
I went to the game and watched this game yesterday again.
Auburn played great. There were a number of things we could have done better.
1. Kicking game. Parkey had a shitty game. Missed FG's and no KO's in the end zone. I recall going WTF? at the game.
2. Ricardo Louis dropping wide open TD pass in the 1st quarter.
To me the key thing we F'ed up though was the 4th down play FSU made late in the 2nd quarter for big yards that wound up as a TD drive. They got momentum off that.
All I can say, is this thing came down to the last drive and the Heisman winner made a play.
(and Spots, I live in ATL. Would like to know how to book with you on a fishing trip.)
