Long time lurker, but could never get my request to join the board accepted despite numerous attempts over the last several years. I accidentally upvoted a post on here today (which I could never do before) and realized something must have changed recently. Not sure who let me in finally, but thanks! Nice to finally be able respond to some of you and thank you for your hard work in keeping us laymen updated on ‘crootin and team news that would be hard to find elsewhere.
Anyways, I lived in Auburn when I was a kid (1996-2001) while my mom was getting her PhD there, and caught the Auburn “bug” after to going to football and basketball games there, and have been passionate about it ever since. Hell, I even got to play peewee football in Jerrdan-Hare twice for our league championship games (a highlight of my sporting career). I haven’t lived in Alabama in 22 years, but I can’t get that orange and blue out of my blood, it would seem.
And before you ask, I’ll go ahead and answer:
-I think Sean White had grit but the dude just wasn’t an SEC caliber QB
- I’m glad Gus’ system got us to a couple nattys, but I got real sick of his shite once Nick Marshall left
- I think Bo Nix had potential to be great but didn’t have any supporting cast around him to make that a likely outcome. He also had a shitty attitude on occasion, and acted like a punk-arse more often than would’ve been ideal.
- Harsin was the most tragic thing
to happen to AU since that bastard Updyke poisoned the trees at Toomers
- I would never order salmon at an IHOP, but you do you…
That should just about cover all your pressing questions, but let me know if I missed one.
War Damn, and go to Hell Bama!

Sorry. I’m not usually one to dig up the dead, but I figured it would save me some time to get out ahead of the inevitable question

Howdy.
If I ever said anything ungentlemanly like to your Mom while wandering around the graduate school students, apologies have been extended.
My job at Auburn during that time period was acclimating graduate and PhD students to their new environment.
It was a great time.

Never heard of you so I think you’re safe. Apparently Tubberville made a pass at her once though

If you had the pleasure of communing with him in Mexico...
Well, I'm forever changed, my man.

There’s a chance you got lost in the shuffle previously. Apologies for not getting you in here earlier.
IHOB just introduced pancake tacos, for those of you who did order salmon from the restaurant. Haven’t tried them because I’m loyal to Waffle House like our forefather Gustav Malzahn.

On behalf of all SC exiles, I have a few more questions:
Charcoal or gas?
Is it ever acceptable to grocery shop anywhere other than Publix?
Is it acceptable to vacation on the Gulf Coast anywhere other than 30A?
Is it acceptable for an adult to ever put ketchup on a hot dog?
What’s your favorite craft beer?
SCers fill in what I missed.

These Losers don’t even have continuous running “What Beer Are Drinking Today?” thread.
I think this place is starting to grow on me…but these folks really need to get their shite together with regards to tossing back a few cold one’s

No problem, sir. I was getting what I wanted just from reading but it’s nice to be able to participate as well.

Well, I’m in NC, not SC, but I’ll try to humor you:
-charcoal tastes better but gas is more convenient. But as of Father’s Day this year, I’m now a pellet-smoker man
-Publix is good when I’m visiting further south, but there aren’t many here in NC. This is Harris Teeter and Wegman’s country.
-Can’t really comment on the Gulf Coast much. I had a friend in Auburn whose grandparents had a condo in one of the Phoenix buildings in Gulf Shores, which my 12 year old self enjoyed just fine. Not sure where 30A is unfortunately.
-Ketchup on a hot dog is a sin, regardless of your age.
-for craft beers, I’m partial to Sierra Nevada, but there are countless other brands that are plenty good enough to drink. I’m not too picky when I’m looking for a buzz.

expensive and I prefer Aldi's for staples and a local Detwilers for the veggies
