I really hope the 24-25 basketball team really is what they look like they are.

Having an elite basketball squad come along when football is turned upside down and side ways is chicken soup for the soul.

I think they are.

We finally appear to have guards that can shoot.

We also have multiple wing defenders that can play at a high level.

They have a ton of potential.

Still in a shock picking that win up. Guaranteed 4-0 heading into Maui so we can sit and enjoy it.

It's 1998 all over again!

I posted in the game thread last night as awesome as that win was we got it without hardly any production from Denver or CBM (until the very end). If we can get everybody clicking together sky should be the limit. The Bama games should be absolute wars.

We also have one of the best 1-2 punches in the country down low with Broome and Cardwell.

Don’t forget Chaney. He carried us the first part of that game.

I was very impressed with the D the boys played last night. Every series was a contested series and I am glad we have a point that can create opportunities and has a scope while he is throwing it up. Going to be a fun season and...by God, we deserve something good. SOMETHING in light of football.

All that being said, are we going to show Auburning in basketball too? God, please let us have just one team to enjoy. Amen.

Unfortunately we have for the last few years since the FF run. We’re just snakebit.

2020 I think was a quality team that was starting to get hot at the right time and could have made a run. We were playing good ball and had a talented roster with J’Von, Samir, Wiley and Danjel leading the way. COVID ruined that for us.

2021 was a rebuild and racked with injury even with Sharife.

2022 Kessler got hurt right as the regular season ended and our guard play sunk us in the tournament.

2023 guard play again and the Houston buzzsaw in round 2.

2024 Penn and once again freaking guard play.

Hopefully, HOPEFULLY, the guards we’ve got now are the answer. Frontcourt play is arguably the best in America. Pleased with the result so far, especially Tahaad.
