The thing with the most annoying trolls is they have numerous alters (which I know is hard to prevent). WG has been suggesting an Alter option within the RA feature. Would it get abused a bit? Yeah probably. But I think it could help out significantly with helping the current Admins clean up tRant

I have down this road before...sometimes shitty posters are confused as trolls when they are just simply shitty posters.

we plan to crack down on shitty posters soon...but I would like to know who the worst of the worst are...

Chicken

I understand if it's a process you're working out and want to keep under wraps, but if you can spare any info...how exactly do you plan to go about that? Seems like a tough undertaking.

Bring back AU21Tigers. Do we/I need to sacrifice someone to get the Auburn boards, "Head of Visual Entertainment" back?

Give me some guidelines Chicken.....

We get it spots, you want to give 21 a blowy. If he wants to post on this board, he needs to stop being a shite head.

I think mizzoukillz is great for the board. He is obviously a troll but he's creative and funny most of the time. Auburnphan definitely sucks. Didn't wanna throw one of our own under but since you went ahead ill agree Agree about stop robot too 100%.

There are tons of new tennessee arkansas and alabama fans that I can't even think of right now, that are fairly new, like 200 posts and under that have flooded the board, but I guess that's to be expected with football right around the corner and new people looking for a home for the season.

Btw Chicken, I have always been a fan of minimum post requirements to start a thread. (Say 2000). Would keep some of the alters at bay.

10-4. Just wanted to show support for the idea while we have your attention. Is the tigerdroppings@gmail still the best way to contact regarding other matters?

As for shitty posters that just don't know how to have a civil conversation? I don't really want to call out opposing fans...kinda seems like each fanbase should police their own, then let someone with the ability to do something about it know. So in that spirit...

Auburnphan turns every thread into an anti-UGA or anti-Bama deal. Doesn't seem like he's going to grow out of it.

Would probably cut down on the number of shitty/troll thread, but might also increase the number of shitty/troll posts

For the general poster, after an X amount of post, you develop an online rep. Most will be civil and not start troll threads because you want to maintain your rep.

I mean it's worth testing out.

The regulars won't mind because we all have more than enough posts to qualify. It might hurt the site in regards to gaining new posters. Some might not want to put the effort into reaching a certain post quota just to be able to start a thread, which I think would cultivate and encourage better posters. But that would hurt the site's overall statistics/numbers (from a marketing standpoint). A good salesman can use that to his benefit though.

Serraneaux was a decent poster though, prior to the Vol Invasion of tRant. I think they just got caught up in the spamming...seems like they've settled down a little. Power of the PM maybe?

Dumb idea. Do you somehow feel like you are "better" because you post more?

Not always the case. Most of the horrible posters on this board have tons of posts.

I think the idea behind it is to deter new shitty posters from starting threads. They would likely get wacked prior to them gaining thread-starting privileges. As with all things, there are pros and cons to this
