There are going to be soooo many players in the portal from all over. The kids do it at HS level. Most kids are looking out for themselves for the best situation. It may work out and may not. New rules, kids have choices. None of this will matter with a new coach. Just get a bad arse Qb

True, and also Harsin will not be around next year so having him make decisions that will be felt beyond the end of this season probably isn't the best road for our program to go down.

Anybody think TJ is “medically hurt” so that he can stay long enough to see which coaching staff comes in.

She must have tweeted this at her hubby, he quit weeks ago and hasn't won since?

Could she not just tell him this at the dinner table?

Oh it’s not a good look on him at all. His players literally don’t want to waste eligibility on him. And the bad thing is I understand their side of it. But you can’t have players on scholarship refusing to play for you so it’s really the only option Harsin has.

If this little situation doesn’t grab the attention of the Powers that Be, I don’t know what will.

On one hand, from the player’s perspective, they don’t want to burn a year of eligibility on this terrible season. Ok, I get it. It’s also selfish. This is a team game. You signed up to play college football on this team. The team needs you. You don’t want to play? Hit the road. I’m an old school player. I can’t imagine refusing to go into the game if my number was called.

On the other, it shows a complete lack of respect for Harsin as a coach. I mean, your head coach is telling you that he needs you to play, and you tell him “no?” That is major disrespect and speaks loudly to the culture that has been created in that locker room.

It’s a bad look all around. The players look selfish and the head coach looks like he’s lost control of the team and that they have no respect for him.

Why should they respect him?

aTm should have a ton of loose portal players coming free, maybe some that knew Robby, so all these that don't play the best here may get replaced by one of those aTm players.

I’m fine with it… if you’re on the team you play…. If not, then quit.

Low(life) Spark, I kid, I kid.

That is needlessly overbearing, and creates dysfunctional locker rooms
over players that aren’t getting a lot of playing time anyway. Why go that route? If he lucked up into winning out and recruiting well he still needs those kids next year. He is being reckless and I’m fine if people want to say he’s sabotaging next year’s program.

This is why employers fire people on the spot if they can manage. The culture of rot and spite seeps into workplace and everyone feels it. If you’re going to fire someone eventually, do it immediately!

I would let the kids that want to redshirt do it. This is a no win situation because who wants to waste their eligibility for a lame duck on a bad team. You can either let them redshirt or they will transfer, either way they are not going to be playing. I guess the real question is what type of position will Auburn be in once he forces all these kids to transfer?

One last thing, the Auburn website 404ing Zykevious Walker’s profile seems like a lowblow as well.

Everything they have been doing is, from day 1 he has been a prick. When a Heisman Trophy winner at your new employer asks you to come to a golf tournament you go. Not showing your face at high schools to recruit and meet coaches? Dick move. No showing to recruiting dinners? You guessed it, dick move. If someone sat down and thought about it, the guy's dick move moments outnumber the non dick moves 20 to 1 I bet. Now the PTB have done the ultimate dick move by continuing to make our players look at and listen to a coach who cares nothing about them and their future successes. Been at it a while too, bet Tank would agree

He is trying to burn us down before he's canned. I feel like this should be obvious unless you're Hellen Keller. This is a joke.

if he (Harsin) felt disrespected or not given a fair shake, then he could absolutely be trying to burn it down before he's shown the door. he's going to get his money, anyway.
