I'm not back on the Gus bus, but he has called 2 great games the last 2 weeks. Gotta give credit where it is due.

He deserves it. Hell. The entire staff and players deserve it.

It was a top to bottom arse kicking. No other way to put it.

Players played lights out.
Play calling was fantastic.
Defense played insane.
We dominated the trenches all night.

What more could you ask for?

Same

I'm not going to pretend I'm convinced Gus is the long term answer after one huge game

But I said if he wants to be he needs to start winning these games, so he's definitely earned the benefit of the doubt for a while.

I agree. I sincerely hope he's turned the proverbial corner and that this isn't some aberration. If this is the permanently new and improved Gus, were gonna wreck shite for years to come.

The goal I had before the season was for us to head into the Iron Bowl with the West on the line and he's done that. Somehow. Still some football left to play, but he's proving a lot of us wrong and I think most of us are happy about that. Like I've said before, I think fans have been especially melty about him because we WANT him to be THE guy for Auburn.

If they can tidy up special teams and continue the remainder of the season like last night.....watch out!

Gus went into a big game and won it like it was 2013, 2010.

Be deserved a lot of credit. He did not take the foot off the pedal... they were throwing it with 1:30 left up by 23.

It was bigger than that, IMO. We squeaked out some wins in those years and they were exciting, but last night his team beat the frick out of the #1 team in the country.

Edit: this team reminds me a lot of 1989. Two stumbles to good teams early, then perhaps playing the best ball in the country late in the year.

I am not going to mince words today.

He created and executed the gameplan perfectly yesterday and it was an incredible experience for me and my family.

Reminded me of one of those epic florida wins from years ago.

Today, I have no problems with Gus.

At the end of the season, he and I will sit down and talk about my future support.

But today, I have a Go Gus smile on my face.
