I always like Gene Chizik as a person but today really showed the type of character he has. You could tell by the tone of his voice that he genuinely cared and still does care about Auburn football

I am glad he spoke up today. Will not get a lot of run nationally, but Auburn has decided to fight back.

Chizik threw the Fab 4 under the fricking bus. I can at least respect that. They don't deserve to be sugar coated. This honestly sounds like a different human being. Sure he sounds like a mature white man on the radio, but he doesn't bullshite with monotony like we heard for 4 fricking years.

I actually thought he went out of his way to NOT do this. He just stated his case emphatically which happened to be completely contrary to everything they said!

I listened to the podcast part of it is missing where he starts to talk about Darvin's statement today.

I agree and thinks he deserves credit for this also. He went so far as to say he was hurt by McNiel's claims of racisim.

I really love Chizik. He just couldn't run a successful program long term.

In Chiz terms he threw them under the bus. He didn't cast them out like you or I would have done, but he definitely didn't sugar coat the Fab 4. He said he warned them beforehand of making careless decisions that would cast a bad image of the entire program.

He was a busy man. Hopefully he got paid for some of the interviews so we can deduct that from his monthly AU check
