We’ve already seen it. On most zone reads the DE’s are squatting and forcing him to give it (not every time and he’s likely missed some reads). Most teams trust their front 7 to handle our OL and RB, more than they do Nix loose.

Yep, we have a playoff level defense with a Belk Bowl offense is how I saw it put somewhere.

He clearly is pissed or he would have waited until the season ended without any change in eligibility. Shows it was an emotional decision and vindictive towards the coach. It really puts the team in a tough spot at QB if an injury occurs. Guess he didn't think much of his teammates either.

Yeah no one is convincing me Gatewood couldn’t produce at a minimum the same as Bo Nix has until I see it myself. Like I said earlier, the only negative that we’ve heard about JG came from Gus during a closed door practice. He’s done well on the field.
What should’ve happened is Bo RS, but my guess is Gus thought he could save himself a few years by playing Nix, the name. But it backfired, he’s not winning he SEC this year, no playoffs, complete rebuild next year, and JG is gone.

You mean the defense is playing different than normal. Offense has been HORRIBLE

Feel bad for Joey, wish he would have stuck it out the rest of the season but I understand how frustrated he must be. Wish him the best of luck going forward.

Looks like Nix will be the guy for the next three years. I was hoping for Gatewood to start but now I will be on the Nix bandwagon moving forward out of necessity
