If it is anything like the intelligence of a micro class then I'm fully prepared. I'm an economics major and it comes to me easily so the ones that don't understand simple concepts frustrate me

Quantitative or Primary track?

If you are primary track, you still don't understand simple concepts. Just don't understand a few less

Does John Sophocleas(sp?) still teach econ? I had macro with him and he was great. This was around 2000/2001.

He'd pop a quiz and tell the class that about half of them must have put on their "oh shite" face that morning. I think he ran for Gov or something like that at one point.

He will guest lecture from time to time. After the PhD program was cut I think he started going around to a bunch of different schools. He also works at Mises which pretty much has no affiliation with Auburn anymore. Dr. Stern the new Econ head is starting to build that relationship back up though

Smart man. Talk with Dr. Stern when you get the chance, he is hilarious and loves Quant Econ majors. All quant econ is, is the ability to major in just econ and take courses that prepare you for "real economics" Stern describes it as "helping you choose the correct classes"

It may make sense to major in Econ and minor in math. I want to say if you take all the quant econ classes you are only two math 3000+ courses away from a minor so it almost makes sense to do that. (Haven't looked at that curriculum in awhile)

Once you get to classes like Math Methods, if you have taken real analysis (which should be required), you will watch everyone go "wtf" while you know everything they talk about

Econometrics is near impossible for non math background students.

Every person should take Stat 3600/3610 so they understand how not to be a dumbass with statistics

He is incredibly sarcastic, slightly autistic and an effing genius. He got his PhD when he was like 22 or 23

If you are willing to put in the work, quant econ will be a huge benefit. The logic patterns and problem solving for proofs in real analysis will have applications outside of math. Just remember, for Glotov and Govil, you will need to spend at least an hour a night going through proofs. If you put in the time though you are almost guaranteed an A

If you ever need help though give me a shout. Because our archaic double major program I have taken almost every econ class but am majoring in Applied Math minoring in Econ (falling short of 150 hours for a dual degree).

Doing our best Mr. Bossman

Concerning setting records in the weightroom 2 days before a game, is that a good idea? All I know is that when I go real heavy a couple days out, I am still a tad bit sore. 48-72 hours later. Can't imagine that will be a positive affect on their performance

(Unless they be gobbling up the PEDs)

If those personal records in the weightroom don't translate to personal records on the field, it doesn't mean a damn thing.

We better not look like Tarzan and play like Jane, especially on the DL again.

Person on the bunker says he is expecting over 500 points and 6000 yards of offense

That is a pretty bold projection

You just think that guy was being a smartass. He's probably just been huffing paint (huffing paint is the official past time of the bunker).

I am pretty sure that people on the bunker represent the lowest IQ population of Auburn fans

Personally, I wan't our guys to max out on bench at about 5:30pm on Saturday, shot-gun a 24oz redbull, then run out the JHS tunnell.
