Quick throws, run out of different formations. And run the damn clock when you have a 2 score lead.

Let's see..... A quarterback incapable of going beyond the first read. Incapable of stretching the play outside the tackles. Constantly throwing high.

And you think different formations and the Air Raid would work for Finley?

Right ...

We 99.9% chance to win that game, and lost and it was 100% our own doing

After looking at the replay, I'm not quite as pissed at Tank as I was before. I think he fully expected to fall on the field, but the defender actually did a great job keeping him on his feet and carrying him out of bounds. Still salty about it overall, tho...

Anyone blaming tank for that doesn’t know football and is listening to Gary Danielsom too much. He got dragged out like 5 yards.

Well then don’t get dragged 5 yards then. He is the one who broke it to the sidelines. His 8 yard run was meaningless. He could’ve got dumped in the middle of the field for a five yard loss and that would’ve been more productive than his 8 yard run

Jesus Christ, the abuse he endured with more up the gut bullshite calls from Bobo, you guys want to blame him for one play, even though he was dragged out of bounds. Never mind the fact Mason decided to soften up on blitzing and gave up a 97 yard drive.

And if there wasn't a tackle for loss the following play, maybe they go for it on 4th & inches and seal the deal. Lots of "what ifs" to ponder...

He put himself into the position to get dragged out of bounds and that play was huge.

As a matter of fact, if he merely got dumped into the middle of the field, we win.

A football game isn’t defined by one play. There’s plenty during the game that could’ve happened to change the outcome. Sure it would’ve been nice to stay in bounds and run extra time off, BUT HE WAS DRAGGED OUT. How about defend your paycheck-less player who has never done anything but work hard for this program and stayed loyal to us - and he’s been the only reason we are where we are, and instead blame the million dollar coordinators for not slipping in a quick reminder “hey get down if you get around the outside”

Honestly I think he was happy to not take another beating up the middle and excited to be in space, and then realized “oh shite there’s the sideline” and tried to put on the breaks before they dragged him off balance and out of bounds.

I love Tank, I appreciate everything he's done for Auburn. I openly said after last week I think he should transfer to a team/OL where he can showcase his ability for a year before going to the NFL.

That said, he can't go out of bounds there. Also, yes there are a lot of plays that go into winning and losing a game but the only thing you have to do there is fall down and the game is won. You can not under any circumstance go out bounds short of the first down in that scenario.

The 1st down INT after the 4th down stop and the third down and long throw with a one legged inaccurate QB were also massive errors. We also were snapping the ball way too quickly in the 4th quarter on several plays.

For all of those gripping about Tank...watch the replay...he didn't have a chance to get down once the defender got ahold of him. Also if he made the 1st down...game was also over...

He is the one that broke to the sideline. He didn’t play smart so he gave the defender the opportunity to play smart and pull him out of bounds, and the defender did.

I at least appreciate that he was trying to do that.

You should never hope one of our most productive players, and the heart and workhorse of the team on offense, and one of the best RB’s in the nation transfers elsewhere- while making the Auburn program worse at football. RB isn’t like the QB position where Justin Fields transferring because he would’ve been a backup to a lesser player in Fromm. Tank carries the bulk of the load and is the leader.

Tank should continue to be pissed at Bobo for the shitty play calling, while building his support and own this team, and continue to be the leader of the team.

Completely agree. I don’t think the criticism for not staying inbounds negates this. It just wasn’t good situational awareness. I appreciate he did his best to try and end it though. It just didn’t work out. You simply can’t lose 3 yards or whatever it was on the next play either. That wasn’t his fault at all.

Nice straw man. I’ve said Nix has reached his peak. The poster I responded to said he wants Tank, a RB, to transfer so he can shine, when really Auburn is his team and he’s the leader.

Btw we almost beat Bama with TJ at QB.

My friend, I don't want Tank to leave. But given all of the reasons you listed he deserves better than what he is getting trying to run behind our OL, with no improvement in sight. Watching him constantly getting hit at or behind the line, I honestly feel for the guy. I can't imagine how frustrated he must be.

That said, he made an awful mistake at the end of the game today, and there is no way to spin it otherwise.
